Welcome to Dragonfly Farms – Your Mountain Farm Escape with Highland Cows!
Come experience the charm, beauty, and peaceful magic of Dragonfly Farms, a working mountain farm tucked into the foothills of North Georgia. Whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend away, a relaxing retreat, or a unique farm stay adventure, our one-of-a-kind “barn apartment” getaway offers an unforgettable blend of comfort, breathtaking scenery, and authentic farm charm.
From your private space, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of gardens, orchard rows, rolling pastures, and our beloved Highland cows grazing nearby. It’s the kind of place where mornings begin with coffee and crisp mountain air, afternoons invite you to explore nearby wineries and waterfalls, and evenings end by the firepit under the stars. If you’re craving a getaway that feels peaceful, personal, and truly different from the ordinary, Dragonfly Farms is ready to welcome you.
Your guest space is a private one-bedroom apartment located on the second floor, accessed by its own private entrance and staircase at the back of the building. Designed to be cozy, comfortable, and fully functional for both short and extended stays, the apartment includes a full kitchen, living room and eating area, sleeper sofa, full bathroom, washer and dryer, WiFi, and a coffee station—everything you need to settle in and feel at home while enjoying a farm stay with a little extra charm.
Outside, guests are welcome to relax on the private deck and enjoy the designated “backyard” area, including our firepit area, which offers some of the best views on the property. This is the perfect spot to unwind with a glass of wine, listen to the sounds of the farm, and watch the sunset spill across the pastures with the mountains beyond. It’s peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable.
Because Dragonfly Farms is a working farm, we do ask guests to be mindful of private and restricted areas. Guests have full private use of the second-floor apartment during their stay. The first-floor areas of the building are private farm support spaces and reserved for the owners’ use only. Access to other areas of the farm is available only with prior arrangements and specific host approval, and some areas may require guests to be accompanied by the hosts or farm staff for safety, animal care, and farm operations.
For guests who want to take their stay to the next level, Dragonfly Farms also offers unforgettable add-on experiences and small celebrations that can turn a simple getaway into a true memory-maker. With advance planning, guests may arrange private farm tours, our signature “Meet & Treat” Highland cow sessions, and other curated farm experiences that allow you to interact with the farm in a safe and meaningful way. Dragonfly Farms is also a beautiful setting for intimate, specialty events such as micro weddings, engagements and proposals, romantic picnics, photo sessions, birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons, baby moons, and other small gatherings designed to feel personal, peaceful, and unforgettable. All tours, cow experiences, and events must be arranged in advance, require specific host approval, and will include additional costs/fees based on the type of experience requested. We are happy to discuss options and help you create something simple and sweet—or truly magical.
Dragonfly Farms is located in the heart of the Georgia Wine Highway, making it the perfect home base for exploring the best of North Georgia. You’ll be close to wineries and tasting rooms, state parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, scenic mountain drives, and charming towns filled with local shops and seasonal festivals. Whether you want a weekend packed with adventure or a quiet retreat to unplug and recharge, you’ll love being close to everything while still enjoying the peaceful beauty of a private mountain farm.
This is more than a place to stay—it’s a place to slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect. Whether you’re here for romance, relaxation, celebration, or a little bit of everything, we’d love to host you at Dragonfly Farms, where the views are stunning, the air is fresh, and our Highland cows are always nearby to make your stay just a little more special.

This space was perfect! It is easy to get to, was an incredibly peaceful area, close to mutiple towns and things to do, very reasonably priced, beautifully decorated, very clean, and the most well stocked "home away from home" I've stayed in. You can tell how much the owners love hosting and making the stay and unforgettable experience for you! Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone visitng the area.
All in all, Dragonfly Farms is an absolute gem in the North Georgia Mountains. Whether you're a nature lover, animal enthusiast, or just looking for a unique experience, this place has something for everyone. Don't miss out on the opportunity to meet these incredible Highland cows – you won't regret it!
The Hosts were very friendly and responsive. They reached out to us about seeing the cows up close, they were very responsive when we asked about an extra chair for stargazing, and the property itself is immaculate and beautiful. Great Hosts and beautiful location. Great for being 15-30 minutes from all the wineries we wanted to visit and things we wanted to see and do. Highly recommend.

The guests were wonderful - charming, communicative and left the space in perfect condition upon check-out. It was a joy to show them a bit of the farm and our Highland cows. We'd love to have them back again as part of our repeat guests group.
This farmhouse stay was easily one of the most memorable parts of my trip. The setting was peaceful and beautiful, perfect for slowing down and enjoying nature. What really stood out was how thoughtful the host was and how they truly anticipated every need. From the small comforts in the home to helpful touches you don’t even realize you’ll appreciate until they’re there, everything was taken care of. They even took photos for us and shared them afterward, which allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about capturing every moment ourselves. One of the highlights of the trip was definitely the Highland cows. They were so friendly and absolutely adorable! Such a unique and fun experience that made the stay even more special. The host’s adventure recommendations were also spot on. We had an amazing time horseback riding with Sunburst Adventures and loved stopping for ice cream at Bizaba’s. Both were perfect additions to the trip and made it even more memorable.Overall, this stay was the perfect mix of relaxation, charm, and adventure. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique countryside getaway.
