The apartment was exactly what we needed! Extremely clean and well stocked. Beds were comfortable and rooms cozy. The place was close to anything you needed and was 7 minutes to where we were working for a few days. It was a great and relaxing place to come back to after a long day. Jenny was a kind and gracious host who consistently checked in on us and replied to any messages we sent or questions we had within minutes. 100% would stay again. Actually already planning on it the next time we work in the area! Thanks Jenny!

Smaller than what it looks in the pictures but luckily it worked for us 4 adults. I didnt realize it was an upstairs unit. Everything was so clean! It was windy the two nights we stayed and a tree outside was hitting the kitchen window and siding making a lof of noise all night. You definitely hear the traffic too The windows are drafty and howl with the wind. Nothing that would prevent me from staying again. Overall a good comfortable place.
Small group in town for a work event. Place was as advertised - clean & well cared for, thoughtfully done. TY for making it available.

The place was very clean, with a full kitchen. We weren't in the apt. much, but the wi-fi, refrig. and stove came in handy. I will rebook this place when I'm in the area.
Very clean and comfortable apartment close to Boston. We only stayed one night. Communication was excellent. Only issues were that we found the pillows to be hard (some people might like that), and we could hear the traffic outside during the night. .

The place was advertised as two bedrooms. One bedroom was locked when we arrived. There were enough beds for all of us, but one of the beds was in a converted walk in closet. This meant that they had to walk through the other bedroom to use the bathroom or exit the room. The pictures on this site include pictures of the second bedroom that was not available for us to use. Two other concerns: 1. The day before we arrived we were told there would be a sound monitor in the apartment. While we weren’t concerned with making too much noise, it felt like a privacy violation. 2. This is winter in Massachusetts. There was one small fleece blanket and sheets available for each bed. A bed needs a comforter. This is a bizarre choice and just strange. The host was very responsive, but almost too nosy. Asking what time will you be arriving and departing? Asking for the cleaning crew. But if you are renting me a space, then the host should anticipate I will be using it the entire time. This again felt like a violation of my privacy. We will not be staying here again.

Regarding the locked bedroom, sometimes during the cleaning process a door may accidentally be locked without the team realizing it. In those situations we are always happy to provide the access code immediately once we are notified. Unfortunately, we did not receive a message about this during your stay, so we were not aware that you needed assistance at the time. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will remind our cleaning team to pay extra attention to rooms with keypad locks.
In terms of the noise monitor, this is a NoiseAware device, which is commonly used in many short-term rentals to help prevent excessive noise and maintain a comfortable environment for neighbors. As noted in the listing, the device only measures sound levels and does not record audio. Many guests appreciate this system as it helps ensure a peaceful stay for everyone.
Thank you as well for the note regarding bedding. We appreciate the suggestion and will review our supplies to ensure we offer additional blanket options so guests with different comfort preferences can feel more comfortable, especially during the winter months.

a few things to talk about
Place was clean but noise level high all the time… bedrooms face busy street and fighting neighbors. one bedroom was locked i assumed it was off limits but called owner a week later after re-reading the ad to which she gave a code to get in. i stayed in little bedroom…converted closet? it was connected to larger bedroom and the ceiling air vent was falling off I notified owner multiple times. there were ants in kitchen so neighbor left a can of raid. due to my health we could not use raid and i bought ant traps. the air vent was never repaired. chipped drinking glasses. front rain gutters were broken and super loud when it rained. door to deck was latch was broken. Attention to detail overlooked. just disappointed overall and left 3 days early.

In fact, you mentioned to me that you had booked the place because you were receiving treatment in Boston, and you checked out 3 days earlier because you were discharged sooner than expected. You also requested a refund for the remaining nights.
Regarding the locked bedroom, I immediately provided you with the code within just one minute of you reporting the issue. As soon as I was informed about the ants, I quickly called the cleaning team to bring over an ant spray. I sincerely apologize for not realizing that this could affect your health condition. Right after your checkout, I also had pest control come in to treat the issue.
About the small bedroom, I’m sorry if there was any misunderstanding. It is not a converted closet but a proper bedroom. The room size and pictures are clearly shown on the listing.
As for the air vent, chipped glasses, and gutters, my maintenance and cleaning team has already repaired and replaced them also.

Our recent stay at Jenny’s property was one of the most disappointing and uncomfortable experiences we’ve ever had using VRBO. What was supposed to be a celebratory trip with my pregnant fiancée turned into a stressful ordeal from the moment we arrived.The listing advertised full access to the home, including all bedrooms, but when we got there, we were shocked to find the master bedroom locked. There was no prior notice about this restriction. Jenny then messaged us saying we could only use four beds or face an additional cleaning fee. This was never mentioned before booking and made it feel like the rules were being changed after we arrived.To make matters worse, we were falsely charged for “extra guests.” We had only four people total staying which was well within the maximum occupancy listed (nine). No one else stayed overnight, yet we were still hit with extra charges we should not have been responsible for.The host’s tone was aggressive and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. We received repeated messages about surveillance cameras, noise sensors, and even a threat of eviction, despite doing absolutely nothing wrong. It felt like we were being watched and treated with immediate suspicion for no reason.On top of all that, we were woken up at 3 a.m. by raccoons fighting on the roof. They were screeching, running, and even hitting the windows. It was loud, frightening, and lasted almost an hour. Not exactly the peaceful stay we were hoping for.As a Black traveler,

Unfortunately, this guest was not transparent about the number of people in his party. He only booked for 2 guests but repeatedly denied providing the actual group size from the beginning, which led to serious misunderstandings.
Our listing clearly states that the standard rate covers up to 4 guests, with an additional $25 per night charged from the 5th guest onward. While the home can accommodate up to 9 people, the base price is only for 4, simply to keep things fair for both small and large groups. This policy is clearly displayed on the listing and was never hidden. Despite the situation, we still provided full access to all rooms and did our best to accommodate.
We were never aggressive, nor did we threaten eviction. We only reminded the guest—politely and in line with house rules and local law—in order to protect them from possible neighbor complaints. There are no surveillance cameras inside the home; we simply informed the guest that there are cameras outside at the front and back entrances for security purposes.
Regarding the raccoon incident, we truly wish we had been informed right away so we could help. This was an unfortunate, isolated, and uncontrollable situation, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
We acted in good faith and even offered compensation, but the guest demanded a full refund despite completing his entire stay. Sadly, based on this experience, we would not recommend this guest.
