We’re very sorry to hear about the concerns with the pool. The pool is professionally cleaned, tested, and balanced every week, and it had been serviced just over 24 hours before your arrival. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of the chlorination concern until after checkout. As soon as we learned about it, we immediately had our pool company return to inspect the system. They discovered that the chlorination setting on the pool equipment had been turned up significantly and corrected it. Had we known about the issue during your stay, we absolutely would have had them out right away. We also apologize that the patio string lights were not working and will make sure those are addressed. While there is a light fixture within the pool, it has never been operational and we do not advertise the property as having a lighted pool or as offering nighttime swimming because our outdoor quiet hours also begin at 10 p.m. We were not made aware of the insects in the basement during your stay either, but we appreciate you bringing that to our attention so we can investigate and address it. We work hard to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests and appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to address these items.

This is the first we’ve heard about the damaged lounge chairs and unusual refrigerator noise, so we’ll definitely be checking into both. Wine glasses are a great suggestion, and we also like the idea of adding screens to allow guests to enjoy some fresh air on cooler mornings. We’re sorry the basement bedroom didn’t feel comfortable for your friend. We haven’t previously had concerns about a musty smell, but with the unusually heavy rainfall and flooding our area has experienced recently, we’ll be taking a closer look to make sure there isn’t a moisture issue that needs attention. We’ll also address the gnats you mentioned. We appreciate the thoughtful feedback. We want our home to be a comfortable and enjoyable place for our guests, and comments like these help us identify things we can continue to improve. Thanks again for staying with us!

We understand that mattress preferences vary from guest to guest — while some find them too firm, others may find them just right. That said, we’ll take your feedback on them into consideration. Regarding the ants, we wish we had been made aware during your stay so we could have addressed the issue promptly. We will have this looked into immediately. As for the photos, all rooms of the home are included in the listing, so we're unsure what you encountered that may have felt misrepresented. We’ll review the listing again to make sure everything remains accurate and transparent as it is not our intention to hide anything. Our landscaper missed a scheduled visit the previous week and was able to get everything trimmed and cleaned up the following day. We do apologize for the inconvenience with the kitchen sink leak. We responded immediately, sent our handyman the next morning, and once it became clear the issue needed additional attention, we worked to get a plumber out as quickly as possible during a busy holiday weekend. The leak has since been repaired, and we were happy to provide a credit for the inconvenience. We wish we had known during your stay about the slow-draining upstairs shower as we could have had the plumber look at that while he was there and would have done our best to address the bedroom TV speaker and dead bees as well if you had brought them to our attention.
