This was just the right spot to slow down on the lake with friends. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and grilling. The beds were comfy, and the owner was very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!
Great home on Lake Gladewater. Clean, spacious, with many amenities. It had everything our family group of six adults needed. Nice bedding & linens. Luxurious towels. Kitchen well-stocked with dishes & small appliances, as well as pots & pans & utensils. Very private with dock for fishing & fire pit alongside the lake.
Very clean and super comfortable. Shampoo and body wash dispensers empty and dish soap empty, but store closet was left unlocked so we were able to refill these items. Beds were plentiful and super comfortable. Tons of extra blankets but the 6 of us had to share 3 washcloths which was a little awkward. These are easy things to address so I would absolutely stay here again!
The property was great location wise. We we're asked during the booking process the reason we we're staying. We told the owner just a weekend get away with family and friends. We we're grilling and the kids were fishing and playing cornhole having a blast. No music playing at all or anything disturbing the peace just swimming and fishing and people laughing and having a good time on the lake like everyone else. Mind you its between 4 and 6 in the evening when 5 police cars pull up and tell us that someone is calling 911 continuously from this address which was not true but we just listened to officers and let them go on about their day. About a hour later we get a email from the owner saying he was informed the cops were called and since we we're having a party and everyone besides the 4 occupants needed to vacate before 9. First we wasn't having a party, we was grilling and swimming with the family and friends like we explained from the beginning. So after I fully read the email I noticed the owner said he just wanted to make sure there was no other complaints from the neighbors. So i guess no one ever called 911 from the property like the officers said it was just the neighbor nextdoor who kept coming on his back dock shaking his head because we didn't look like him. It's sad because we have all races in our family but its really sad because they get see how people of color are treated no matter what the situation is. Can't Love The Creator And Not His Creation!
