The house was cozy and clean. The problem was the private beach and dock which were unusable and a huge disappointment . The only way to get to the water was down a steep embankment of medium sized rocks which shifted with every step. Extremely unsafe. The dock was very wobbly, even for very small people, so we had to rent space for the boat a few miles away. The view from the top of the embankment was peaceful and beautiful. The fire pit was very nice, but, since it rained so much during our stay, we were only able to use it twice at night. It was designed so everyone had equal enjoyment of the fire and a very nice time was had by all.We will not return to this location since the main reason we chose it was the water. We spent quite a bit of money on adult sized rafts, tubes, etc. Which were never used and are still in their boxes. The group was determined to make this into a nice celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary and did so despite not being able to enjoy the water as much as we wanted to. It was wonderful just being together and that we will do again next year, but at a different location with better access to the water. If that is of little importance to you, this offers a nice little getaway.
