A beautifull beach house with the best view in the world, load shedding free

IMPORTANT NEWS: We recently installed a new automatic system to counteract load shedding with solar pannels, inverters and high capacity batteries, so now the house is completely load shedding free!!!.

The Windrose is 480 sqm wide. On the ground floor are two very big lounges, a dining table for 12 people, a breakfast table that sits 8 plus a kitchen and a small kitchenette for breakfast. Two poster refrigerator, ice maker machine, two microwaves, an electric oven. The right handed lounge have a 55' flat screen TV with the sound system. Both lounges have air con and fire places. A fully equipped separate utility room, 2 guest toilets and 2 double garages.The furniture is of an outstanding level and the area spacious enough to easily entertain guests. Plenty of outdoor space with 3 furnished decks with 1 built-in braais, on one of the decks we just built an heated swimming pool. On the first floor 7 bedrooms (3 of them en-suite)plus two other bathrooms can easily host 12 people. 5 rooms open onto big decks looking at the sea. Three bedrooms have smart TV's with satellite DSTV. At the top of the house there is a nice loft with a cross trainer and 2 exercise mats.

Amazing Location

The location of this property is incredible - right on the ocean with an amazing view of Table Mountain.The house is beautifully decorated. The staff and property manager are friendly, helpful and very accommodating.We had a lovely stay, and would love to rent again.

Better then the pictures. Well stocked with a great kitchen. 2 maids to help and clean the home. Felt safe as we played on the beaches. Lorenzo was always available and communication was excellent. Do not miss this place.

Great villa, highly recommended

We woke up to the waves and an amazing view of either the ocean or table mountain. Perfectly located between Blouberg and Big Bay the choice between the many beaches, bars or restaurants was the toughest part of the day. Luckily staying at the pool, sunbathing on one of the many balconies or relaxing in one of the two living rooms with a super nice sunset is also no bad option. The cherry on the cake is the super pleasant and friendly house keeping staff. Thank you for everything!

Our group of 9 stayed at this wonderful property for 3 nights in August. The pictures online are accurate! Communication with the owners/property managers was seamless via whatsapp. Check-in was simple and straightforward. We appreciated having a secure location to stay at, especially since we had never been to South Africa before. This place is huge and easily accommodated our large group. Bedrooms were spacious, and bathrooms were nice. This place is right on the water, directly across from Robben Island with a clear view to downtown Cape Town and Table Mountain. The neighborhood is very safe, with 2 restaurants less than 4 minutes from the property. Both of these restaurants were very good. There are 2 coffee shops within a minute. Wifi worked perfect for our large group. We were 25 min north of downtown Cape Town and took ride shares to get there which was simple. Make a note of rush hour/high traffic times because that can add a bit of time to your travel; early morning, later evening were not a problem. Highly recommend.

A beautiful house in a fantastic location

Our extended family stayed here for a week before a wedding. The house is beautiful. Plenty of space for family to relax and spend time together. The view is spectacular and the access to little coffee shops and restaurants is perfect. Having a second sitting area allowed some members to watch the cricket while others could chat. The full kitchen allowed us to make dinners for 15 family and friends. Connie and Edwin keep the place spotless and took excellent care of us. It was a very special opportunity to spend time with extended family. Walk onto the rocks. Sleep with the doors open and sea noise and fresh air. Sit on the deck and walk to restaurants for meals. Highly recommend.

Home from home

Overall we had a fabulous stay for 3 weeks , the location of the property is perfect , short walking distance to great coffee and great food no matter what you feel like eating, and if we didn’t feel like walking or driving there was always an Uber 4-5 mins away . The house is furnished to a high standard and extremely comfortable , tonnes of space to spread out and relax no matter what time of day there’s a space for everyone ! . The local property manager Emma was absolutely awesome and dealt with any queries swiftly, with Amazing professionalism, from the well-stocked and gratefully received welcome pack after a long flight ! to any others bits that cropped up during our stay - Emma your a rock star 🌟! . Heaven on Earth!!!

Whow whow whow. That is what comes to my mind. Words cannot describe The Windrose. We were a family with adult kids and we spend 3 glorious days at The Windrose. Everything was just perfect for us. There are enough space for everyone to have his or her privacy if needed. The rooms were beautiful and they have the most amazing views over the bay on Table Mountain. The en suite bathrooms are very comfortable and all towels and linen are exceptionally good quality. Emma and Conney were very helpful and kind and made you feel welcome from the start. I will recommend the Windrose to everyone that wants to come and experience Cape Town. It is very well situated and close to the restaurants and shops. You really dont have to hire a car. Make use of Uber. Thanks Virginia for your kindness and an unforgettable stay.

Gorgeous villa

Our stay was too short with all the beauty and hospitality that was shown. We loved the villa. The view was sensational as was the property manager, Virginia and Emma. Both Emma and Virginia was so sweet and responds quickly with all questions and concerns. Emma was accommodating to all of our needs and concerns. She made our trip effortless and beautiful. The only issue that was a challenge was the air conditioner going out in 3 rooms which caused discomfort when sleeping in those rooms during our stay. Emma was very kind and helpful in trying to resolve the issue, but it wasn't able to be fixed during our stay. Besides that, everything and everyone was very helpful, especially with it being our first time visiting. They helped to make our stay special for my mothers 50th birthday trip. We had a personal chef and Emma was able to work with him as well, to accommodate the surprises we had for my mother. Emma truly went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. We are so grateful for the time we had and wished we could have stayed longer. I would definitely return and recommendend staying there. Emma even left a beautiful parting gift on our last night. We are truly grateful.

Winter family reunion

This property is a dream! We were a group of 8 adults and 3 children and we had plenty of room to spread out. We went for two weeks in July when it's winter in South Africa and planned on spending a lot of time at the house - the house is perfect for that (although we really lucked out with amazing weather)! You are seeing and hearing the ocean every day from every room in the house and the view of table mountain is such a treat. We also felt very safe in the house/area. The location in Blouberg is phenomenal with coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. If you're a surfer, there is a great surf rental shop and Big Bay right around the corner with amazing waves! On the weekends, it definitely gets busy and you can expect a lot of people to be passing by the house on their walks. It doesn't bother (and not super noticeable once inside the house) but just something to note that the house is in a residential neighborhood. The staff, Connie & Edwin, are absolutely lovely people who are a joy to be around, and the property manager, Emma, is very responsive and lovely as well. They provided some firewood for the fireplaces and when the washing machine broke during our stay, they organized a same-day laundry service (and paid for it). There were beautiful fresh flowers which was a nice touch. They also helped to arrange two rooms with twin beds and one with a crib for a baby. They also helped us to rent a stroller for the baby and had it waiting at the house upon our arrival. Don't hesitate to book this property! It will make for a very memorable trip :)

Incredible house in Cape town

The house is so spectacular that it takes your breath away. The house manager Emma and the housekeeper Connie make you feel so comfortable and at home that you never want to leave. Virginia was extremely accommodating in letting us have a late checkout the day of our departure. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in capetown.

Ein wunderschönes Haus zum Entspannen. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. Jeden Tag wurden alle Zimmer samt Küche und Wohnbereich gereinigt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, so dass man bequem für 8-10 Leute kochen kann. Wir wären gerne noch ein paar Tage geblieben.

we stayed with 12 friends in the house. as it was my 10th time in capetown it has been a great location, first row to the sea with stunning sunrise and sunsets to watch inkl. the table mountain setting. with uber you are very quick and convenient in the city. the kitchen is fully equipped and the two large lounging areas give enough space to feel private even with 12 friends hanging around. it was fantastic as expected - thanks also for the wonderful staff and especially Emma, who took care on everything we needed. all the best!! Ein Traum am tosenden Meer

Das Haus liegt direkt am Meer, die Ausblicke auf den Tafelberg, auf die Klippen vor dem Haus und die Sonnenuntergänge sind spektakulär. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet, sehr geschmackvoll dekoriert und wird täglich von Conny und Naiomi gesäubert. Die Lage am Bloubergstrand ist ideal für Ausflüge nach Kapstadt und in die Winelands. Sehr empfehlenswert.

I looked at about 100 properties for an 11-week stay during August in Cape Town and nothing quite matched the stunning location and level of comfort offered at Wind Rose. We needed a property for 12 family members in Cape Town for a wedding and Wind Rose suited us perfectly. The stand out features include the remarkable view offered in the living areas and six (of seven) bedrooms. It is, in every sense, breath-taking; large crashing waves with Robben Island and Table Mountain both in view. Two large living areas were very lovely(one tv and one for photography and talking). Two large garages were also useful. The kitchen was very well equipped (great cooker, fridge, washing machine etc) and really easy to use. The bedrooms were very well appointed as were the bathrooms. The dining area was most impressive (in keeping with the house) and yet like everything in the house, easy to look after. The beaches all wonderful for walks and photographs. Very helpful to have On the Rocks restaurant next door with cake shop near also. The Bayside shopping centre provides the wonderful Checkers supermarket - also a dentist surgery (they saved the day with an emergency tooth extraction) , chemist, florist, wine store... The location is great and easy to drive to and from the centre of Cape Town and yet also escape across country. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Property manager Emma is excellent as is the wonderful housekeeper Connie whom we loved and was so, so helpful and great fun also. We were here in Winter month, so are unable to report on the little swimming pool but it looked nice. All my dealings with the owners were very cordial and efficient. One or two automatic HomeAway emails were a bit distracting... but other than this, Wind Rose is the most wonderful house we have every stayed in and as a family we have been roaming the world for 22 years. This combines homeliness and luxury, practicality with art works, comfort with efficiency of use. I cannot praise it highly enough. Thanks for making it SUCH a memorable holiday.
