Nestled on a picturesque 5-acre lot with direct access to your own sandy shoreline off the Chesapeake Bay. Coastal Winds Retreat is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and relaxation seekers alike. This a charming oasis where modern design meets cozy comfort.

It features two tastefully decorated properties: a spacious main house with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, accommodating up to 9 adults, and a cozy guest house just steps away, with 1 bedroom (on 1st floor) and 1 full bath (on 2nd floor), perfect for up to 4 adults. Both properties can use sofas as additional sleeping space. Crib--'pack & play' included.

Whether you're kayaking, fishing, oyster picking, crabbing, sunbathing, or simply unwinding in the serene surroundings, there's something for everyone.
Enjoy fun-filled moments with family and friends playing games like corn hole, and a variety of board and card games. For BBQ lovers, our BBQ smoke shack is at your disposal (propane & grill lighting supplies not included). Share special memories around the fire pit (firewood not included). Bookworms can retreat to a cozy reading nook stocked with a selection of books. Children will love the playground and obstacle course set, while adults can unwind in one of the many seating areas or on any of the three decks, savoring a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. And to kick off your vacation, a complimentary bottle of wine is included!

There are several Marina's and boat dock <6 miles from the property. Buzzards Point and Reedville Marina to name a few. See Guide book for details. Property has enough space to park a small boat. Also, there is enough parking for several vehicles.

With high-speed internet reaching all the way to the water and large big-screen TVs throughout the property, you'll stay connected and entertained. We also provide a children's 2-seater dining table & 1 booster seat. There is also a level 2 EV charger for electric vehicles.

Coastal Winds Retreat is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. While there are minimal attractions within the city of Reedville, the closest largest city & grocery store is just a short 20-30-minute drive away. We recommend stocking up on groceries before your arrival. The fully equipped kitchen, in the main house, has everything you need to prepare delicious meals so you can settle in and make the most of your relaxing staycation.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Review house guidebook and message for additional check-out instructions.
Lay beach umbrellas down on sand. Extinguish fire pit fire. Turn off propane tank. Close all windows and lock all doors.
If there is extra trash that can't fit in trash bin, leave trash securely tied in front of garage and notify host to coordinate separate trash pick up.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
The dock is NOT part of the property. Guest cannot use.
No loud noise or loud music after 11pm to be respectful of residents nearby. Turn off outdoor lights when not in use.
During hot summer season, keep thermostats set to 72 degrees to prevent HVAC from overworking, which can lead to malfunctioning.

Property was amazing. My oldest took advatage of having his own place with the separate house. Everything you needed was there, just bring your food. Kitchen had everything needed, the "smoke shack" was great, rather you were smoking or grilling food or cooking up breakfast on the blackstone! Two kayaks and one inflatable were awesome to have! Firepit (just bring somenwood) and grabpots provided were a plus. Decor of the home was great and very private area plus having your own little beach area to enjoy. Really enjoyed the stay and would book again! Host was excellent to communicate with!

The property is excellent, and both houses are beautiful. It is important to note that the bathroom in the guest house is on the second floor (bedroom on the first), connected with a super-narrow spiral staircase. I do not recommend it for older people or little kids. The main house works perfectly. The beach is muddy and shallow, so it is unsuitable for swimming. What was a bummer since I went over the summer with 4 little kids. Overall, we had a great time. It is beautiful! So that we can overcome the first beach disappointment.

Wrote a lengthy review praising this property up and down & was cut off with a character limit. Just know this- this property is gorgeous and provides every single detail you could imagine. Beautifully decorated and maintained, all while the host goes above and beyond to stay in contact & provide the best experience possible. We had a 1/2 a week here for thanksgiving and created the most amazing memories in thanks to this host. We were able to join 2 families traveling from afar to cook, eat, enjoy family time inside and outside, so seamlessly because this home was so comfy & amazing. Comfy beds, amazing views, amazing kitchens, bathrooms, dining spaces, lounging spaces, TVs galore, games, ample space, fire pit, decks, grill huts, private beach, fresh oysters, lots of towels, new appliances and so much more- so many details provided throughout the homes. We talked about how we would absolutely return to this property. What a fabulous job you've done to give your guests a great experience. Our memories here are epic and this will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you!

Lovely Setting

We visited Reedville for the holiday weekend with my family and another family. The adult children enjoyed the privacy of the guest house while the rest of us stayed comfortablly in the main house. The views were amazing, and we took advantage of all that the grounds had to offer. Additional kayaks and perhaps some bicycles would be appreciated. There were very bright spotlights shining right outside of the master bedroom that made sleeping challenging, but the owner said they should be fixed in the future. But overall, it was a lovely place to spend the weekend.

Peaceful waterfront retreat.

Property is perfect for families. The water views are phenomenal. Newly renovated with modern decor. Property clean and well stocked. Ceiling fans in bedrooms and living areas. We have a 5 year old and teenagers and they were entertained the whole time. This home is really a place you can stay for a week and feel at home. Upstairs has a door to close off the stairs with a king room next to a bunk room so bringing a childproof knob cover makes this perfect for small children. Small quiet neighborhood, our only visitors were a family of deer and geese. Felt completely safe and comfortable at this property! Highly recommended.

Our stay in Reedville was very relaxing. Our guests ranged in age from 16 months to 84 years old. The littlest were delighted with the beach and the water was perfect for wading. They also enjoyed all of the swings and hammocks and the local wildlife. The older kids (teens) had a great time swimming and kayaking. We caught some crabs and fish. Bird watchers will delight in the variety seen. Herons, osprey, gulls, vultures and a variety of songbirds. The evenings were filled with the song of the cicadas and the cutest little tree frogs taking advantage of the bugs near the houses.We comfortably fit 4 adults and 5 children. The house is well stocked and the guest house is perfect for older teens or adults. The privacy of the property is unmatched. Truly an oasis from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. Veronica, our hostess, was incredibly communicative before the trip and during. All questions were promptly answered. I would definitely like to see another regular kayak on the property and if you’re traveling with a child you get than two, I would recommend bringing your own high chair or booster seat.

Easter getaway

We stayed for a long easter weekend getaway. It was a random pick on the map for a location choice. We had a great time with many memories made. Our kids (age range 16-21) loved the location and water front access. The crab pots and kayacks made available were a hit. Though we never caight a fish or crab, the ongoing tries never failed. From the moment we booked and arrived the host was easy to communicate with. The house and guest house were just as described. Every little touch was perfect. Exceeded my usual expectations from rentals. The extra towels, beach towels, outdoor furniture, kitchen supplies, were all readily there. Though the town didnt offer much, and the closest decent grocery store was 25 minutes away (stated in booking) we loved the old town feel. Jeffs market country store, reedville market for dinner, leadbellys for snacks, and town of irvington for a brewery visit, were all fun. Visisted a local fishing pier as well. If looking for an off the map, peaceful, tranquil, getaway, this is your stop!
