We had a great time staying at this cottage. The location is fantastic, my kids caught several fish off the dock. The listing is accurate, the cottage was clean, highly recommend!
I stayed with my husband and daughters (2 and 5). It was such a beautiful and peaceful stay. Nate gave us several recommendations. We spent an afternoon at Cuff Farm’s pumpkin patch nearby and had lunch another day at the Fremont hotel. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return one day. I already miss having my coffee in the morning with that gorgeous view!
Stayed with a group of 7. Slept us all. Enough room to even put some of our gear inside. Spent most of the day outside but exactly what we needed to sleep.
We went for white bass fishing. The catch wasn’t great, but the cabin was clean and cute! The lake is beautiful! My husband did catch a garr off the dock. The view was beautiful! It was our first VRBO and we will definitely stay again!
We were very happy with our stay. Cottage is exactly as pictured and private. Kids loved playing in the little cottage. Water is only about 3 feet deep, and the bottom of the lake is sand, so the kids enjoyed swimming and foshing from the dock.

Cozy Cabin
We enjoyed our stay. Great view of lake from the deck. Short drive to town to great restaurants on the Wolf River. With the exception of the "teeny tiny" shower the rest of cabin has plenty of room & was quite comfortable & very clean. We had a couple issues where we had to call hosts & they were very cordial & helpful.
Perfect location! The water is warm and shallow. We could walk a mile out into the lake. Everything about the cottage is just perfectly designed. Great use of the small space. We never felt crowded despite having five adults there. The only point for improvement is to have the cleaning staff take care of the spiderwebs on the porch and the ladder and bench on the dock.
We stayed in this cozy cottage to "experience" sturgeon spearing season on Lake Poygan & Winnebego. We woke one day to the sounds of chain saws cutting ice and then to ATVs zooming on the ice. The cottage was warm, cozy, cute and comfortable with extras like TP, spices, aluminum foil, and trash bags, all very much appreciated. The owners welcomed us with a tray of coffee, snacks, and 2 wonderful coffee mugs. This was a great place to stay.
My sister and I had a wonderful time at the lake house. Everything inside is perfect and utilizes every inch of space in the best way possible. Lots of birds fishing in the area as well as other wildlife. We loved exploring the lake by kayak! We didn’t use the bunk house, but is looks wonderful with a queen bed and air conditioning. Very quiet neighborhood! We will be back.
We stayed for a weekend with our 1-year-old and 80-lb dog. It was just enough space for our family, but we could have accommodated more with the upstairs sleeping loft. The house was clean and well kept with everything we needed. Instructions and suggestions for things to do in the area were very much appreciated as well. The owner was really friendly and easy to communicate with. The location on the lake and property were beautiful and very relaxing. We enjoyed checking out a few casual restaurants in Fremont (easy 10-12 min drive).
We loved our stay in this cottage. The location is perfect and its location on Norwegian Bay is very quiet. From the small gift during check-in to collection of board games and everything in between, all the details were thought of. The lake is wonderful and has a shallow, soft sand bottom perfect for swimming right out in front. The lack of light polution leads to excellent start gazing on clear nights. This cottage was exactly what we were hoping for.
The driveway is a little narrow, so getting our 16’ pontoon boat and truck down was tricky. There was plenty of room to turn around in the parking area, but just wanted to mention for future guests.
Would highly reccomend for a quiet lake vacation!
Snowed a lot when we were there luckily had a 4x4 otherwise would have been stuck there since there wasnt a snow shovel and no one came to plow. Otherwise the cabin is really nice and clean as it was the year before last. Way overpriced for what they offer though as the TV gets random channels from channel 1 to 956. The list for channels they give you is out of date lol. The cabin will remind you of staying at your grandparents house that your parents renewed with the first ever smart equipment haha! The house overall is a great place.
This is a very small cottage with two beds plus a loft at the top of a wooden ladder. The place is very close to the shore/dock with pristine views of the lake. Overall condition is neat and tidy. The only issues during our stay were 1) the shower is super tiny, and 2) the water has a foul odor (just a guess but the copper anode in the water heater may need replacement or removal). The town of Fremont is an easy ten minute drive north. What's really special about this property is the seclusion: The other houses are set near the road and this one is on the water. We saw only one person during our four days.
I'd love to keep this place all to myself so I am not going to tell you how relaxing and absolutely perfect this place. I'm not going to tell you that I felt absolutely alone the March week I was there and the solitude was blissful. I'm not going to tell you the cottage was like something out of a movie and the little things like the original floors and doors were beyond charming. I'm not going to tell you absolutely loved it because I want it to be available the next time I need it. This place was just what I needed and brought a tired teacher peace. Thank you for sharing it with me!
Spent the last couple nights at the end of our week's trip back to WI and absolutely loved our time at the cottage! A perfect view on the lake and a plenty of space for our family.
We relaxed, fished and had a fire. We cooked on grill by the lake. Remember to bring charcoal. The cottage is small but cozy. We even used the summer house to sleep in, heater furnished which was nice. If your expecting high end fancy, pick something else. We wanted comfortable family time and that's what we got. We loved the backyard and how close we were to the lake. Thanks
