TF26-Quaint Cottage! Pets Ok! Fire Pit!

While recently added to our rental program, this property has been a well-established and highly rated Airbnb (previously known as the Turkey Foot Getaway). This Cozy 3 bedroom/2 bath open concept chalet is the best of both worlds; peaceful and serene surroundings with a spacious yard, but less than 5 minutes from Canaan Valley Ski Resort and 10 minutes from Timberline Mountain, Red Creek and Dolly Sods. The perfect country location for your stay any time of the year. After a full day of activities, roast s'mores by the outdoor fire pit, enjoy cozy evenings by the fireplace, or relax on the deck watching a beautiful sunset.

This home is dog friendly! (A $70 fee per pet per stay required, max of 2 dogs)

Pleased with ease of checkin. Thoughtful host who left a welcome note and bottle of wine. Comfortable beds and well stocked home. No sheets for sofa bed upon arrival but was delivered the next day. Only complaint was pet hairs on bedding, carpet and furniture from previous guests. Plenty of wood for fireplace which we appreciated since temperatures dropped in the teens.

When we arrived the cleaning person was still there. It appears they were rushing as the unit was dirty and didn’t seem to have been cleaned very well at all. Toilet was dirty, shower had hair on the curtain and in the drain. Previous renters trash was piled up outside at the curb and with it being in the country, it was clear raccoons went through it. I emailed about having it cleaned up and after two days, they finally responded with, “no, it is on a schedule”. Just a disappointing experience. The place is nice (albeit a little dated) but I hope the actual owner of this reads this review and considers trying a different property management company.
