New Large 2 Story Flat for 11 w/ Pool -5 min walk to Beach & Calella cliff walk

Llafranc is the perfect beach town for us. Majestic and beautiful Costa Brava cove nestled between beautiful rock formations - perfectly clear blue water and beautiful sand beach.

Walk to the beach in 5 minutes along the Llafranc promenade, passing the bakery and the fruteria on your way.

The cliff walk between Llafranc & Calella de Palafrugell, also less than a 5 minute walk from our home is beautiful - and Calella is such a special and unique beach town as well. Walk past Calella to the beautiful botanical gardens of Cap Roig. Catch some wonderful concerts there during the summer.

Our 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 2 story flat has been completely renovated in 2016 and sleeps 11 in bedroom. It has two living rooms, one on each floor, and a roof deck for relaxing - allowing kids and adults separate hang out space after a long beach day. Our entrance is on the 3rd floor of the building… so guests with any mobility issue should keep this in mind. We also have a pool that is shared by 18 home owners but is often just ours to spend time in - perfect for when the kids still have energy after (or before) the beach and parents are ready to relax.

Our beach has a cobblestone promenade with ~12 restaurants open for breakfast, lunch or dinner and all overlook the beach. A Michelin star restaurant is a couple minute walk from our home as well. Gelato and snacks are always steps away from your beach towel. Boat rentals, paddle boards and kayaks are all available for reasonable rental costs from the beach. Scuba excursions are available as well - though we usually just snorkel around our Llafranc beach where you will find hundreds of fish during every snorkel (a little of yesterdays bread brings them to you), starfish almost daily, and Octopus about once per week.

In addition to the beach, Llafranc is a perfect jumping off point to visit the beautiful historic towns of Pals (20 minutes) & Peratallada (25 minutes), the Dali museum in Figueres (50 minutes), the Ruins of Empuries founded by the Greeks in 6th century BC, then Romans in 1st century BC (50 minutes)and many more great locations around Costa Brava and Girona.

Great accommodation and location for a family get together

A well equipped property with an interesting layout. A balcony at one level for outside dining and a large secluded terrace at the upper level with outside furniture. The accommodation is is very comfortable, tastefully furnished and equipped to suit the whole family. We all had a great holiday and would be pleased to return.

Outstanding property with stunning views

The property was perfect for our large family of eleven. The location was perfect,; within walking distance to the beach, shopping, the supermarket, many outstanding restaurants , etc. The owners, Milsie and Steve went out of their way to accommodate us and acquaint us with the amenities in the house and community. We wish we were still there. Outstanding property!

Fantastic condo in top-notch location - Highly recommend!!

The property is excellent - comfortable bedrooms to accomodate mutliple families with kids; cozy and inviting common areas; two wonderful decks (you will not tire of the view); all the comforts of home in this well-provisioned condo; and just a fabulous location (easy walks to numerous picturesque beaches, spectacular ocean cliff views, and charming seaside towns). Highly recommend both this condo and the Llafranc / Calella de Palafrugell setting as a wonderful base for a visit to the Costa Brava region! Owner was very helpful with extensive tips (in a super-handy Google doc with web links, etc.) on how to enjoy Llafranc / Calella de P. and environs like a local! I can't wait to go back.

Idyllic family vacay stay in Llafranc

From the moment we crossed the threshold into this pretty, welcoming environment, our family felt happy and at home. Each of us gravitated to our own special room, as well as to gathering on the terrace, the large living, family room and the kitchen island. The kids loved the toys and books, and of course, we all delighted in refreshing swims in the pool. The location was fabulous, as promised. The walks to the beach and along the cliff walk, swimming on the sea, meals at places along hr waterfront restaurants, and getaways to nearby picturesque towns were pure pleasures. The detailed, descriptive document provided by the homeowner was tremendously helpful. If the opportunity arose, we would all be very happy to stay here again.

Perfect location in a spectacular setting

We completely underestimated the beauty of this Southern European beach front community. The views are spectacular, water warm and inviting, and people welcoming. The apartment sits an easy 5 minute (downhill) walk to the promenade and beach; and in the opposite direction a 5 minute walk to the stunning Cliff Walk of Costa Brava. After 5 days of pretty intense exploring, we still remained amazed by the views and the landscape - jagged cliffs falling into clear blue Mediterranean waters, the town and promenade restaurants lit up at night, the rolling hills supporting the San Sebastian Lighthouse. The apartment is large and a casual feel. Lots of good areas to retreat to (patios, roof deck, TV "cove"); and a large common area on the main floor for community meals and relaxing after a long day at the beach or explore. There were neighbors around, but we felt like we had the area to ourselves and the pool. And felt completely comfortable and safe (not easy for a generally nervous traveler like me). Fully stocked with everything a full family needs. We were especially thankful for all the beach gear - chairs, umbrellas, scuba. We picked a hot busy week to visit. But the apartment location made beaches very accessible and a great retreat at the end if a busy beach day or exploring. Drinks on the patio, at the local restaurants, and plenty of fans kept us cool in the evenings. Really a one of a kind experience for us, and highly encourage others to enjoy. (Although the residents of Llfranc may want to keep this corner if the world quiet), we have learned the secret! A truly special place.

Fantastic appartment at wonderful location

The apartment is very luxurious, everything you need for a perfect stay is there. The owner gave very good information about the area and about the apartment. It is 5 minutes walk to the beach of Llafranc and that is really a nice place and fantastic for snorkling, swimming, walking, eating etc. We love to come back to this place

We are a American family of 5 that fell in love with Spain when we lived there for 5 years. We own a home in Barcelona and now a beach flat in Llafranc where we can't wait to return to live some day.

Why they chose this property

We looked for 5 years for the perfect beach town - picturesque, quaint but large enough for the amenities of great restaurants and enough stores so we never had to get in the car. We found the perfect place in Llafranc.

We then waited until we could find a property that was large enough to host friends, that was just minutes from the beach, that had a pool for our family before or after the beach. We found all of that plus a great roof deck and a few minutes to a majestic cliff walk...it was perfect.
