Accessibility note: The home has two entrances with railings and two steps. The main floor includes a king bedroom and full bathroom. Please review the photos for shower details if mobility access is important.
Wildlife note: Parker Farm is home to a huge variety of birds, deer, herons, raptors, fireflies, Spring Peeper and bullfrogs, turtles, rabbits, and our resident beaver, Miss Dixie. Guests occasionally see her crossing from the pond toward the wooded area near the driveway circle, sometimes with her babies. Please enjoy the wildlife from a respectful distance.
This home is owner-managed, thoughtfully prepared, and cleaned with care. Self check-in is private and easy, and I’m available by message if you need anything during your stay.
House rules: No smoking inside the home. No parties are permitted under Mebane short-term rental rules. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM.
Trash: Please take all bagged trash and recycling to the bins at the end of Parker Farm Road near the mailboxes on Jones Street. The easiest method is to bring it with you every time you leave the property - most guests find it simplest to hang the bag on the side mirror or hold it out the window for the short drive to the bins.
Rural property note: Parker Farm is a rural North Carolina property, so you may encounter normal country-life elements. Ticks are possible, so long pants and/or tick spray are recommended when walking around the property. Spray is provided under the kitchen sink. Snakes are also possible. I have only seen black rat snakes, which are harmless and help control rodents, and copperheads. Poison ivy is treated regularly, but may still appear in wooded or natural areas.
Neighbor dogs: If the neighbor’s two small pint-sized pits come onto the property, please do not feed or interact with them. They are friendly, but they do not belong on the property, and feeding them encourages repeat visits.
All are welcome here.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The host was excellent and the property was lovely. We would definitely choose this property again on our next visit to North Carolina.

Yay! This review makes me so happy. I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay at the farm, Andrew. You're welcome back anytime! The door is always open.
We absolutely loved our stay at Barbara’s place! She was a wonderful host. The farm house was located down a private lane which made it feel rural even though the amenities of a city were close by. Restaurants and shopping were easy to get to. The house was comfortable and the beds were cozy. We did a complete Thanksgiving dinner for 6 people in the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked. We also had 2 pets with us who enjoyed walks on the property. Barbara has thought of every detail and has crafted a lovely guest experience. We will definitely stay there again!

Steven, your review really means a lot to me. I put my heart and soul into the home, and it’s wonderful to hear that the extras made your stay feel special. I loved picturing your family gathered there for Thanksgiving- it made me smile! Come back anytime, you are always welcome.
Both the property and the home exceeded my expectations! The exterior was perfectly groomed and offered several areas to sit, relax and enjoy the tranquility.Bonus was the deer herd that came one evening and the baby ducks in the pond. The interior is pure perfection...beautifully appointed with a clean contemporary feel and look. Very comfortable LR, DR and kitchen with an open and airy construction. All the BDRMS were extremely comfortable, bright and offered a calm relaxing atmosphere with black out curtains for am rest. The massage chair in the Primary was a nice touch. Honestly, I cannot say enough about how fabulous the entire package was, and look forward to a fall visit!

What an amazing review! These words mean so much to me, Laura. I put my heart and soul into the farmhouse, and I'm glad that it makes you as happy as it makes me. You are welcome back at any time. Thanks again.
Wonderful host and a very nice house. During our visit, the grass around the home was tall and not trimmed, and there were a few dead bushes and a couple of trees down from a recent storm that detracted somewhat from the otherwise peaceful country setting. We have no complaints about the host or the house itself, and we enjoyed our stay. However, at approximately 500 per night, including fees and taxes, we felt the property did not quite deliver the value we expected.

Thank you so much for the kind words about the house, and I'm sorry the grounds weren't at their best for you.
Your arrival landed the day after a severe storm tore through the area and brought down trees across the county. We had crews scheduled as fast as anyone could get them. I'm sorry you caught us mid-cleanup, that's not the setting we work hard to give people.
The one thing I truly regret is that you didn't message me. The lawn is on a weekly professional service, and the crew came out during your stay, but had you sent me a note, I would have had someone there within the hour. I'm always reachable, and I'd have made it right immediately rather than have you sit with it.
I also understand the total felt steep. I'd only share, gently, that the checkout figure includes platform fees and state and county occupancy taxes that I don't set and never see. the nightly rate itself is well under that.
I'm glad you enjoyed the house, and I'd genuinely love the chance to host you again on a calmer weather week.
