Liked: Location
The cottage is adorable and very clean. The location is convenient to historic downtown and the river walk. Plenty of food options you could walk to. We truly enjoyed our time spent at Azalea Cottage.
Easy to get to, parking was clear and free, great central location. Visited fo a friends wedding and was able to walk to shops and the venue nearby. Cleanliness was a 10/10; much larger space than photos give credit for. Spacious, comfy and accommodating will have to keep this place in mind for further visits.
Parking on the property with easy access to front door. Off street parking also available in front of the house. It’s an adorable Craftsman style house beautifully renovated. Nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, living room furniture. And it was spotless. Our host, Neil, was very responsive. Great stay!
Azalea Cottage was perfect for our stay. The location is great - walking distance to event venues and wonderful dining options. The house is charming and very well appointed. We would highly recommend and would happily stay upon return to Wilmington.
The home was everything my daughter and I could have asked for as part of a weekend to enjoy the arts in Wilmington. The owner was especially responsive and answered all my questions almost immediately. Location in the Arts District was convenient for shopping, restaurants and downtown. A wonderful weekend!!
House was exactly as described. Nice, clean, and bright. Was a great neighborhood too, it was just a short walk over to the arts district and other local businesses. Would definitely stay here again.
Checkin was seamless and the host was responsive when we messaged them. We really appreciated not having to run out immediately to buy hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. The house was clean and accurately represented in the pictures. The location was nice as we could walk to coffee shops and restaurants. The host provided a detailed list of activities both near and in the surrounding areas which was helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I stayed in the Azalea Cottage for 5 days to explore Wilmington and look for a new home. The location was perfect and we had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay again! Thank you. Lisa G.
Azalea Cottage is as described- a clean, contemporary renovation of a great house in a great neighborhood. House is well appointed and had all we needed. We were two couples and the set up was perfect. Neil and Sarah are generous and communicative hosts. We highly recommend this place.

Disliked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Cute but….
While they were welcoming and property was cute and comfortable. We had some issues. We were shocked to have a 10 am checkout on Easter. We asked for a later checkout the night before. We did not get response from owner until just before 10 stating he was sorry and was waiting for response from his cleaner.??? On Easter?

Jeanette - we let you check in early to our space. You reached out to us the night before checking out to ask for a late check out. Unfortunately, our cleaner did not respond in time (I'm sure she was with her family ON EASTER). We were very communicative with you every step of the way.
This house is so nice. Everything was very clean and organized and comfortable. The host communicated with me whenever needed. Also the area is very walkable to restaurants. I would definitely stay again.
The house was really clean. The beds were comfortable. Location is close by to a lot of fun activities. I would recommend.
