Really loved this place. I was apprehensive at first because it’s located right in a business district but we loved the neighborhood. Loved walking across the street for coffee, several breakfast choices within a few blocks. Super cool character in this part of Portland. We didn’t cook a single thing, which is unusual for me, but there was truly no need to. I would definitely stay here again.

Parking. No designated parking is the only down fall. Packing luggage coolers through the neighborhood wasn't what I expected. Had I paid more attention to the details I would have probably booked something. Overall a great place great location just wasnt the perfect fit for our plans.

Glad you enjoyed the house and neighborhood. We don't have parking for this location. Typically I am able to park right outside or a block away- so for a city it isn't bad. But if it wasn't what you were expecting, it sounds like you had coolers for an ongoing trip, then I can see you were bummed.

Clean, convenient location, street parking was always close, didn't have a problem finding close by. Considering we arrived almost 6am we were able to store our luggage at the property which was very helpful. Variety of food within walking distance. Host was also very responsive.

The outdoor seating area and yard were great! The beds and bedrooms were comfortable, and having the bathrooms open to the hallway made access easy for everyone. The house was clean and the decor was great! The refrigerator was very clean and completely empty. The upstairs guests were quiet and courteous. The only drawback is having to find parking in the street or in the neighborhood. But even with a 12 passenger van, we found parking each night. Best part was the location! Loved the shopping, food, and bar options. We will stay here again.

Everything was great! The host was super responsive when we couldn't figure out the heat system and came right over. The home is in a great area with lots of cute shops and food and an easy Uber ride to downtown. The home is decorated very cute and very clean. Overall a great stay! Thank you.

We very much enjoyed our stay on Alberta in the Lower Gear. The location is fantastic - coffee shop right across the street and lots of other fun spots, food, bars, wine bars around!

Great place!

We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable in the space. The beds are very comfy and the place is clean and well equipped. The neighborhood is fun and quirky, Portland at its best. Would definitely stay here again!

Myself and my Dutch husband, Klaas, are obsessed with travel, design, nature, hiking, and biking....We have combined all of these things into our vacation rental business. During our travels we constantly note what makes things feel unique and special and then incorporate them into our location. We want our guests to feel super comfortable. We can do this by making sure the kitchen is fully stocked, linens and towels are high quality, internet is high speed, the house is super clean. We also want people to feel that they are in Portland, not just anywhere. We do that by using locally made materials in the construction (tiles, flooring, art work), providing lots of info and books about the area, creating an insiders guide of our favorite places, and we have collaborated with locally owned shops who give discounts to our guests.

Why they chose this property

I think our rental has many unique areas- from a large side yard filled with interesting kids structures to corn hole which is a game that friends can play and enjoy for hours. Inside the house has bike themed interiors from hanging tricycle lights to handle bar coat racks. We wanted the house to be comfortable for guests, so details such as reading lights above the beds were put in every room. We hope you love your stay!
