About this property

Waterfront home in Severna Park on the Magothy River. Twenty minutes to the Chesapeake Bay by boat. Three bedrooms and four bathrooms. All bedrooms are on the second floor. Office also has a pull out twin bed. Open-spaced living area on the first floor with large kitchen, dining room, living room, and piano room. WiFi, beautiful patio off the kitchen. 100-foot pier with firepit, four Adirondack chairs, and boat dockage, Gas grill and plenty of parking.
Minutes away from Annapolis and Baltimore. Forty minutes to Washington DC. Comforatably, sleeps seven. Water toys include 2 SUPs, inner-tubes, 2 kayaks.
This a perfect place for small family gatherings. It is not a place for weddings, wedding receptions, bachelor parties, bridal showers, or any gatherings more than 12 people. My home is on septic system and cannot accommodate large groups. I live close to my neighbors and respect their peace-and-quiet, so again, I'd love for you to be my guest and enjoy yourself on the waterfront, but this is not a "Party House".

Beauty on the River

We have rented many homes through the years and this waterfront home just may be our #1 overall.. The home and the grounds are outstanding...walls of windows face the Magothy River and, though the weather could have been better, it did not take away from that view. All you need and more is provided in this house...cleanliness and comfort were evident throughout. Annapolis is minutes away and is filled with excellent restaurants and things to see and do. Severna Park has a great restaurant very close to the house...Park Tavern. Giant is close by as well. I cannot think of one area where improvement would make this home and the area any better.

Amazing views and relaxing waterfront patio

We had a small group stay for the weekend to celebrate 50th birthday. We brought our boat and docked it at the house. That was such a great perk to be able to do that. We used the kayaks and paddle boards and they were all great. We sat on the dock and had happy hour Sat evening and that was just perfect. We crabbed off. The dock and out in the boat. House was perfect!

Wonderful Stay

This property and it's location was wonderful. Our stay was for Plebe Parents weekend at the Academy - Diana's home was the perfect distance to go back and forth and has tons of shopping/restaurants very close by. The river was the perfect setting for relaxing with our Plebe.

Best stay ever!!

My best friends and I booked Diana’s home on our trip to visit my daughter at the Naval Academy. Her beautiful home exceeded all of our expectations. From the communication we had with Diana before our arrival to our departure, everything went smoothly. The rooms were spacious and our 3 separate families (6 people) had no trouble sharing the space. The best part by far was the amazing view of the water. We spent hours enjoying our coffee in the morning at the fire pit. The house was so warm and comfortable that we felt right at home. Thank you for everything and we cannot wait to return.

Magothy River Rental.

Beautiful home, landscaping, spotlessly clean, and great pier/ waterfront living. Home was perfect for us, our adult children and their spouses(6 of us in total). Fantastic sunsets over the Magothy River, lots of waterfowl (including an eagle). Kitchen and relaxing spaces were great, beds very comfortable, and home is beautifully decorated as well. An easy five stars!

House in Severna Park.

We had a group of 5 adults which were mostly family. We picked this house because it looked so pretty, had the right of bedrooms and bathrooms and mostly because of private dock on the river.

Wonderful Weekend!

We had a fantastic girls weekend at Diana's beautiful property. We are a group of six who have been friends for over 35 years and have taken many trips together, and this was one of the best. From the warm welcome of the owner to the beauty of the property itself, we loved everything about our stay and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great weekend with beautiful views

We spent a long weekend at Diana’s house and it was wonderful, spacious & comfortable. What sets this house from the rest is it’s not a vacation home, it’s Dianas house. In recent years with the growth of short term rentals we’ve grown accustom to ikea furniture and cheap “run of the mill” decor. At Diana’s you immediately realize this is not that. You walk into a sprawling downstairs with a grand piano, stocked gourmet kitchen, floor to ceiling windows (with river view). The master bedroom is like something out of a movie king size power lifting bed, cathedral ceilings and a master bathroom the size of a NYC apartment. The outdoor space is amazing and is another way this house is set apart from other rentals. Her garden area is wonderfully set up. I myself enjoyed it, the wives of our group were captivated by her eye for design. It truly feels like an oasis out by the river. The SUPs and kayaks made for a great time. The house is still in the No wake zone so plenty of safe & fun areas to explore. Unfortunately, we left the kayaks on the beach over night and the tide swept one away. We coordinated with Diana and she was more than accommodating as we worked to replace it for her. Moral of the story if you use the kayaks & SUPs be sure to bring them back on the dock so you can still have fun with them the next day! Overall it was fantastic and I’d definitely rent Diana’s home again. You can’t beat the location, price, comfort & hospitality she offers

Beautiful Property for a Perfect Getaway

Diana’s place was perfect! My friends and I had an awesome weekend at her place and in Annapolis. Everything was as expected and I would highly recommend her place. We were able to swim off the dock and the water was gorgeous.

Gorgeous, convenient, peaceful

A wonderful home on the Severna River, with a long dock out to the water and a lovely patio with table, chairs, and umbrella close to the house. We so enjoyed the peaceful stay, hanging out on the dock or in the kitchen. Diana is a wonderful host, the house is fully stocked, impeccably clean and comfortable. 20 minutes from Annapolis, near lots of waterfront restaurants. We'd stay again in a second.

Fun on the Magothy

Diana is an excellent host. The house and property were clean and comfortable. The area is beautiful and quiet yet close to Annapolis and all it has to offer. The interior living and dining space was spacious and comfortable for our family of 6 adults to linger inside, but we spent most of our time outside taking full advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks during the day and the fire pit on the dock in the evening.

Now that I have retired and find myself traveling often, I have opened my house to responsible guests who promise to leave my house the way they found it. I live close to my neighbors, whom I adore, and will not rent to anyone who would disrupt their peace-and-quiet.

This property is not only a house, but my home. I love everything about my house, but I find myself traveling a lot now that I have retired and decided to rent it on VRBO. I have been extremely fortunate. I clearly share my expectations with perspective guests. Open and honest communication has been the key to my success here.
