If youre looking for a quiet place with a beautiful ocean view away from the city, this is perfect. They even mowed a path down to the beach below. Great walk and so quiet. Highly recommend and it was close enough to Sydney that we could drive in to do what we needed.
Great host communication, super quiet location, lovely cottage’s . Our youngest with us was 12 - the ladder to the loft might be more challenging for smaller kids.

The beach house was located on a beautiful property. The view was lovely and it was very quiet. The accommodation was a bit over priced and the kitchen could have been better stocked.
Thank you again Richard. Absolutely beautiful property as always. Enjoyed the much needed relaxation from the busy life. Thank Tina again for the use of the pot. Lobster were amazing. Thanks
Peaceful location with lovely views of the ocean and easy access to a rocky beach. Owner's house is right next door but they gave us lots of privacy while being available if we needed anything. We didn't cook but the kitchen was well appointed for that. Somewhat remote from restaurants but very manageable if you plan ahead and allow yourself time. Very close to Donelda's puffin cruise which was excellent.
Although we had a short stay & didn’t spend much time in the house, we did love watching the full moon & sun rises. The house is small but very comfortable. Beautiful setting. The host & his niece were very helpful & kind.
I would recommend this home to any one who likes to be a little off the beaten path.
Absolutely amazing choice. Oceanside view with the rolling waves and the fresh smell of the saltwater wafting in was absolutely perfect. The wind blowing by the house along with the cormorants, ducks, and all the other wildlife topped the vacation
Wonderful location, spectacular views, comfortable space
A most enjoyable experience at this well-appointed beach house in Cape Dauphin, NS. It was everything I hoped for and more than I expected. Thank you for a peaceful respite after a hectic year. I will cherish my memories of the time I spent in your beautiful house.

We spent two weeks here. Lovely stay by the ocean and close enough to the Cabot trail to go driving every day. Hosts were great and helpful.
P.s. some reviews were saying you need a 4 wheel drive SUV to get there. Those people are hilarious babies. The cottage is down a well maintained, wide, easy gravel road. We did it in a front wheel drive VW station wagon. No problems at all.
We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage! I went with my mom and we loved the cozy feel of space. The view is phenomenal and the deck was so great for starting our day with a morning coffee. The shower is a little small but we managed. The long gravel road to get to the cottage was a little difficult if you're not used to it and probably not great for nervous drivers but you also get an awesome view throughout the drive so worth it. We would definitely stay here again.
The house was amazing! So clean and had everything we needed and such comfy beds. So thankful to Richard, our wonderful host who came to our rescue when our original VRBO was cancelled last minute. He went above and beyond to help us. Was quick to respond and helpful with questions about the area. Highly recommend this beautfiul location. Stunning views.
