Ideal if you are looking for a beautiful, quiet place with exceptional sunrises. The private beach is a bonus. Access to the Cabot Trail was a short drive away. We were able to enjoy the Celtic Colours every day of our stay as the weather was cooperating.
Very well located between cabot trail and louisbourg. Super clean, confortable and full equipped with direct view and acces to the Bras d'Or. We greatly recommend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage! Everything we needed was provided, and it’s clear the owners take great pride in ensuring guests are comfortable—there were plenty of extra essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, towels, dish soap, and cloths. The view was absolutely breathtaking, especially watching the sunrise each morning. If you’re looking for a truly relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I highly recommend this cottage.
The property was lovely and as advertised. The deck and screened in porch were favorite places to relax. Richard the owner was very responsive when we had questions. The location was very private, yet close enough to any needed amenities. There is a trail to the Fairy Hole very near the property. We would happily return!
Amazing location, very lonely but extremely beautiful. And Richard is an amazing property owner, very very helpful and courteous. We had an amazing time!
The 2 bedroom, 3 bed house was great. It was clean, well stocked and located right off the beach. It is quiet with a great view. Highly recommend staying here if you don't mind the drive to get places. Cape Breton in the fall is absolutely beautiful! A must see!
It’s quiet and private at this well designed two bedroom/two bath house on an inlet. Well equipped kitchen and lovely screened porch. One can hear the waves lapping the rocky shore.

New house. Sea view. Like sunrise evey day. Some bugs outside.
The place was amazing. Clean and comfortable and well equipped. We were sad to leave. So close to the water as well. It was lovely to hear the waves. Our dog loved it as well
The house and property were perfect for us , we had a father son trip to reconnect with a lot of family and see the island , great central location to everything we planned , house was clean and had everything we needed , would recommend it to anyone ,panicked first night I got there as I forgot to pick up coffee for the morning, Richard was nice enough to run some over and save the day !
New home very comfortable, right on the cliffs. Beautiful views! Accessible beach. Internet is intermittent - weather dependent. Dirt road into property (9k) is in need of repair.

Hi There, thank you for the review but you must have the property mixed up as we do not have a cliff, the ocean is out front with a gentle slope to the shore. The gravel road is maintained but DOT and with the frequent rain it has been a chore for them to keep it smooth.
The property was further than we thought from the main highway and the road was rather bumpy and slippery when wet. It's a lovely quiet place with a shoreline path. It was clean & well set up for 2 couples. Oh yes, the internet connection was sporatic so be prepared for that.
Thanks Richard for everything!

The gravel road is maintained by the DOT and with all the frequent rain this year it has been a chore for them to keep it smooth.
We drove from Ontario to Cape Breton to get away from it all. This cottage was great for a couple and small dog. I could also see it suitable for two couples or small family. The cottage has everything you need. The view itself is worth it. We loved watching the fisherman in the mornings with our coffee. It was nice to be able to sit inside, on the deck or in the screen room depending on the weather. The ever-changing skyline was just beautiful. We liked that it was central on the island to get to all of the places we wanted to visit (whale watching, Louisbourg etc.). The cottage is down a gravel road so prepare for that. Also Richard really helped us out when our next VRBO got cancelled at the last minute and left us scrambling far from home and with nowhere to stay. He was able to get us in for another night while we found accommodations. He responds extremely quick. So if you want tranquility and privacy this place has it in spades. Would visit again!
We chose this property for our first trip to Cape Breton. A wonderful place!
Location: beautiful ocean view and if you are an early riser, a spectacular sunrise experience. Stoney beach perfect for evening bonfires. The drive to the property is about 8 minutes off the main road with wonderful views. Good proximity to the Cabot Trail and downtown Sydney.
Accommodations: Property has everything you’ll need. One item to note is that the bedroom with 2 queen beds is on the second level which does not have an air conditioning unit. It was very hot for sleeping during our stay in July which had 30 degree C temperatures. If there is a breeze, it cools off in the evening with windows open. Main level bedroom and living area appropriately cooled by the ac unit.
Note: this listing mentions a hot tub but there isn’t one.
Owner was very attentive to questions when asked.
Overall we highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Cape Breton!
