Perfect Oasis!

My husband and I rented this condo for a month in the fall. It was perfect! The condo is well appointed, the furnishings are great and the king bed in the master was just perfect. We enjoyed the three golf courses within walking distance almost daily and when we weren't, we were at the Winery just up the road! The pool area was great, very spacious, as were the hot tubs, perfect for relaxing after golf! We used the BBQ on the patio nearly every day and the condo was very quiet. We are looking forward to our next jaunt to SoCal, we will definitely be back here.

Clean and spacious!

When we arrived we found the condo to be as advertised, the kitchen is well equipped, spices and all. The only thing we could have used was a food blender to make smoothies, other than that, it had everything you could possibly need. It is perfect to have guests, the second bedroom is totally private with it''s own bathroom. The condo was clean and well maintained. It was wonderful to have a garage to park the car, especially since a few of the days were above normal warm! It has a private patio with a large BBQ and four chairs. We didn't use the pool area very often, it was difficult for us to get there because of walking distance, but the few times we used it, it was a beautiful area. The condo is very quiet, you see very few people and hear very little noise, it faces the inner court area so you don't hear any street noise. The owners are most responsive to any needs you may have, and very easy to reach should you need anything or have any questions. They gave us great advise on places to eat, beaches nearby, shopping, and anything else you may wish to know. Some of our favorite restaurants were Phil's BBQ, The Islands Restaurant, The Original Pancake House, and a small restaurant at a nearby winery. If you're looking for a great church in the area, we found The City Church, just 10 minutes from the condo, they were like an immediate family. Oh yes, it also is close to all kinds of shopping, including a large 3 level mall, and of course Costco! We spent several days in San Diego, it is only a 30 minute freeway drive, we loved Coronado Beach area, Sea World, Old Town San Diego and Del Mar Beach area, all within a 30 minute drive.

Lovely, quiet, convenient place to stay!

Great place to stay if you want a quiet place away from tourist hotels but need a base for getting around San Diego County. Very close to the San Diego Safari Park, hiking, shopping. The pool and spa area is very clean and well-maintianed -- a real pleasure to use. And the community is 55 and over, no kids jumping on you or playing loud music. The unit is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is the best-equipped of any condo I have stayed in.

Oaksnorth condo stay

We loved our stay. The condo was so comfortable and quiet. Went to the pool everyday when we returned from sightseeing. Gorgeous! Played golf at Oaksnorth. 5 minute walk or you could drive. Nice course. More difficult than it appears. Lots of great restaurants in the area and San Diego was wonderful. Especially, Balboa Park and the Zoo. Overall, very relaxing stay!

Very enjoyable stay

Stayed at this apartment for three months while new house was being finished. Apartment is well equipped and comfortable. It is part of an over 55 neighborhood so is very quiet and the grounds are well looked after. There is a lovely swimming pool for the residents about a 5 minute walk from the apartment together with a library and meeting room. During our stay several events took place which we attended. For those looking for an active stay the neighborhood has its own golf course and there are a couple more within 15 minutes. There is also a hiking club. Ideally situated for shopping and easy access to the highway; about 25 minutes from nearest beach. Wineries in the area make for some enjoyable outings. Highly recommend for peaceful, comfortable vacation. Lovely, lovely owners.

We stayed for summer 2013. The OWNERS are wonderful and accomodating and ready to help. The property is fresh, newly decorated and clean. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet. Other building occupants are friendly and clean. Lots of stores nearby. We had a 5 Star summer! Richard and Ginny.

Easterners

Had a great time at Oaks North. Loved the 5 minute walk with clubs to the golf courses. There are three of them and they all are walkable. The condo was just as advertised. Very well appointed and quiet. The king sized bed in the master bedroom was luxury. The deck has a lovely view of green area ,with trees and schrubs, etc. Perfect for after golf drink. San Diego is about a half hour south on I-15. Lots of golf courses and wineries near Rancho Bernardo. We hope to be back.

We are from NH and our 3 daughters live in San Diego. We love coming out to Rancho Bernardo for part of the year to visit our daughters and adorable grand daughter!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this condo because of the year round golf course that is a 5 minute walk from us. We also love the pool and all of the fun amenities and activities that Oaks North offers. Our Condo is unique in that it is super quiet facing a park, as well as the size. It is quite spacious and it has a wonderful floor plan with both bedrooms on opposite side of the living room. There is lots of space and privacy!
