First of all, the host was great. Easy to get a hold of and very courteous. The check-in process was not great. We never got the door code as we were told we would and then when we did get the code, it didn't work. We ended up standing outside for around 20 minutes or so in 97 degree heat until the host was able to troubleshoot issue. The other inconvenience was not having control over the thermostat so it was pretty warm inside. The host eventually kicked the temp down a bit and gave us access (there was a lock requiring a password/code) but it would only stay at the temp we set it to for two hours, so sleep wasn't great because we would get hot again in the middle of the night. This is September in Austin so in the fall/spring it probably wouldn't be a big deal. Again, the host really tried to accommodate us but it was still not a great set up. And the wifi username/password was inaccurately labeled in the listing so we couldn't use that and had to use a phone hotspot. If all of those issues were addressed, we'd probably stay there again, but this time around it was a bit disappointing. Hope they improve their process because it is a really great location and house!

Thanks for the feedback, and for the kind words about the house and my communication. I’m sorry the check-in and thermostat issues made the stay more frustrating than it should have been. The lock issue was resolved as quickly as I could once I learned the code wasn’t working, and I’ve since reviewed the check-in process to help prevent that from happening again. I’ve also made changes to the thermostat setup so guests have more consistent control during their stay. You were also right about the WiFi information—the credentials saved in my VRBO listing were outdated, and I’ve corrected them. I appreciate you bringing these issues to my attention, and I’m glad you enjoyed the house and location.

Our family of 4 stayed in the skyline stunner for valentine’s weekend. 2026! The house is in a convenient location in walking distance to many bars and places to eat. The area is bustling with people walking and enjoying the sights in Austin, but it’s also quiet and secluded. We rested well at night. The house had all the amenities we needed and was clean and well decorated. The roof top view was gorgeous. One thing to note is the house is vertical with a really cool spiral staircase. The living and kitchen are upstairs and the bedroom are all downstairs. So caution to those with small children or anyone needing assistance with stairs. Other than that the beds are comfortable, the kitchen/bathrooms are clean, and the area felt safe/ lively, but also quiet at night. We enjoyed our stay
