Guadalupe River Ranch - Huge waterfront house with private pool on 63 acres.



When you first arrive to High Bank Ranch you will immediately see why we are the destination for family get-togethers and Guadalupe river fun. The 2 house complex is laid out to capture outdoor activities along with the ability to sleep 22 people in comfy beds. You can begin your day with poolside coffee highlighted by the sound of waterfalls and a cool breeze. When the you are ready for more activity there is volleyball/badminton/ping pong/ yard games, kayaks, and pool. The day only gets better in the first class outdoor kitchen built in 2016 (gas grill, electric oven/stove, cocktail bar sink, fully stocked cookware and utensils, fridge, wine fridge and deep freezer), the aroma from the Pizza Oven, and the 70 in. TV in the outdoor living space will keep your guests happy. Plenty of room for our guests to spread out, large driveway, and privacy galore on 63 acres. An added bonus is a full hookup for RV and barn/pasture if you would like to bring your horses, trail riding, hiking and biking.

Our property is situated on the Guadalupe River (Lake McQueeney section). The river here is not in the busy section so water floats are available for your use and we have 4 kayaks. Bring your fishing poles for Catfish and Bass. The 2 house complex includes 8 bedrooms (5 in main house & 3 in pool house), 5 full bathrooms (3 in main house & 2 in pool house), 1 outdoor shower, 2 hot tubs (1 in main house & 1 poolside), all linens/towels and cookware needed for your stay, Wi-Fi in both buildings and outside kitchen, 2 laundry rooms.

Our stay was amazing. This place was even better than advertised. Plenty of room for a large family to spread out as well as plenty of room to gather together. The outdoor area was perfect and the interior of the homes was impeccable. Highly recommend!

Great place to get away and relax with family.

This property has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owner was readily available by text for any questions about the property or surrounding area. Our family had a great time. This was our second stay at High Bank Ranch and we highly recommend it for your family or friends getaway. Our grandkids loved the horses and cows.

Awesome Family gathering spot

Our family just returned from a 3 day gathering at this property. We have stayed at other locations, but agreed that this one was by far the best one yet. There were 17 of us and had plenty of space. It was so well kept and had everything we needed from cooking to entertainment! We will definitely be back.

Another wonderful stay at High Bank Ranch

Family/friends get togethers don't get any better than this! The house is beautiful and the outdoor kitchen area works great for our group. The kids were never without something to do between swimming in the wonderful pool, paddle boarding down the river or swinging from the best rope swing ever. Everyone had a great time thanks to the amenities and accommodations of High Bank Ranch.

Cousins Getaway

This was our 2nd Cousins Getaway (now annual). The Guadalupe River Ranch House is absolutely perfect in every way. The homes are beautiful and fit our every need. Susanne, the host has been spot on with every communication and you can tell she wants everyone to have the best vacation getaway while at the property. We will definitely be back next year!

Fabulous large family gathering place

This property exceeded everyone’s expectations. It was perfect for our large group to celebrate Thanksgiving. The house was very well stocked and had plenty of refrigerator space to handle a big group. The outdoor cooking /entertainment pavilion was where we spent a large majority of time. TV,games, full kitchen and plenty of comfortable seating made this a go to spot The pool and hot tub completed the feel of the outdoor oasis. Everyone wanted to rebook for next year !! The owner communication was timely, thorough,and welcoming on of our best Vrbo experiences ever.

Beautiful property and fabulous vacation!

This home is perfect for large groups. One of the many things that make this rental so fantastic is the owners attention to detail. From the beach towels to the kayaks to the yard games, everything was there. The kids never ran out of things to do, whether it was swimming in the pool, riding bikes, or their favorite, swinging off the rope swing into the river. The outdoor river bar area was the perfect place to keep an eye on them. Both the indoor and outdoor kitchens were stocked with everything one may need for cooking. The beds were comfortable and the home itself and entire property were beautiful!

Our favorite Lakehouse to stay at!

We had a wonderful stay as always! This was our third time booking Susanne's beautiful Lakehouse property. Susanne is the best host. She is so nice, communicative, and helpful via the Vbro message system or through text. The house is gorgeous! We love taking out the kayaks on the river. You feel like you are at a resort with the beautiful pool & hot tub. The outdoor kitchen area is the best, it's so nice to make dinner out there on an evening with perfect weather. We love the house because we like to cook and the house has everything you could ever need to make a delicious dinner! The house is decorated nicely, so you feel like you are at home. I could go on and on, it's just the best Lakehouse getaway! Thank you Susanne!

21 Thumbs Up!! The Perfect Getaway!! Book It!!

We had a Navy Retirement party with friends and family. Beautiful home with an area for everyone in our large group! Some hung out in the pool/jacuzzi, some in the patio area watching football on a 70" outdoor TV. Lots of ping pong tournaments! We also played cards and Giant Jenga at a patio table with seating for 16!! The outdoor kitchen was perfect for grilling and there was covered seating w/firepits and places to just sit and chat. Not to mention those that swam and fished in the lake! The home had plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms and was incredibly well-stocked with spices, foil, everything!! No flies or mosquitos either!! We will be back again!!!!

Wedding Weekend

This was the perfect place for family and friends to be together prior to the wedding if our son. After the rehearsal dinner the groomsmen hung out at the outdoor patio kitchen, listened to music, and played ping pong, and enjoyed the hot tub. The day of the wedding the groomsmen hung out, relaxed, watched TV, played games, and had lunch together. It was the perfect place for the guys to be together. The experience would of been over the top if the weather was warmer and the pool and river could of been put to use. We know the host was not responsible for the weather. This VRBO is over the top and the host is very accommodating. We will be back.

We were a group of friends there for a 40 year high school reunion and this was the perfect house for all of us. The pool and the outdoor kitchen were so nice and both the house and pool house were a great fit for us all. Susanne was very responsive so it was really nice to be able to get in touch with her if we had any questions. Definitely would love to stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the property and the warmth of the host. Communication with the host was seamless and made everything stress-free.The 2-house setup is perfect for groups, comfortably sleeping 10 couples, and designed for both relaxation and fun. Our group spent most of our time outdoors, enjoying the sparkling pool and the first-class outdoor kitchen (cocktail bar sink, fully stocked cookware / utensils, fridge, wine fridge, and deep freezer; everything we needed!). It truly felt like a luxury outdoor living space, and our guests loved every minute of it.One highlight of the weekend was having a private Hibachi chef come out and cook for us. There was more than enough space.There was plenty of room to spread out, with a huge driveway, total privacy across 63 acres, and the peaceful backdrop of the Guadalupe River. The property is immaculate and thoughtfully stocked: 8 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, 2 hot tubs, outdoor shower, 2 laundry rooms, fast Wi-Fi, and all linens and towels included.Every detail of this stay exceeded our expectations, from the comfort of the homes to the incredible outdoor setup. My family has been visiting the Hill Country our whole lives even while living and raising our children in the Houston area. After the kids graduated from high school we wanted to retire in a small town setting that still offered some big city activities close by. Most importantly water and outdoor excursions.

Why they chose this property

We were always drawn to New Braunfels. The people here are honest and friendly. There is always something to do and the climate of the area allows for year around outdoor activities. When the opportunity arose for us to own land in such a beautiful setting we were thrilled. We have put a lot of work and sweat into building our dream ranch.

What makes this property unique

Lake McQueeney is a hidden gem. You can drive into town and float the Guadalupe River in many locations but our section of the river is peaceful and serene. We love being able to put the Kayaks in the water for a leisure ride upstream or just tying a tube to the dock for lazy floating is my happy place.
