Ted and Kay's Getaway in beautiful Canadohta Lake, PA

A quaint little cottage with two bedrooms and two baths(one shower/no tub). Double lot with a lake view. There is a great area for campfires and relaxing in the evenings. Walking distance to activities like putter golf, roller skating, a beach with a water slide, Happi Jax's ice cream, the Frog Pond restaurant, brewery nearby, and the local beer distributor. A gas grill is provided for your outdoor grilling needs!

The lake provides a great opportunity for swimming and boating. The rental includes the use of two kayaks.

The kitchen is fully equipment. The dishwasher is a portable unit.

There are games and DVDs.

There is no cable TV or internet. However, both Verizon and AT&T have very good coverage for your mobile devices.

Presque Isle State Park, Waldameer Amusement Park, Splash Lagoon, golf, and many other activities are within driving distance.

Other seasonal activities include hiking, skiing, ice fishing, and hunting. The northeast wine trail, the conneate lake winery, and many local breweries and meaderies are located nearby.

There is public park(Ruggles Park) located within walking distance, allowing open play area and soon to have children's swings and a beach area.

A few days away at the lake

Nice, roomy and comfortable lake house! Great variety of board games and movies for family fun. Grill worked great. Big yard, nice fire pit area. House is well equipped and clean. Judy was a great hostess!

Reunion visit

This was a great place to stay. We were back in NW PA for a class reunion and this house was convenient to a lot of places. The view from the porch and the fire pit were great. House is cozy and well kept. The pontoon boat was a lot of fun and Judy was helpful with all our questions. My only regret is not booking a longer vacation!

Memorial Day Weekend

The cottage is comfy, cozy and clean. It is also the perfect location- close to everything. It is right next to Ruggles Park. We tried kayaking for the first time and loved it! We also fished from the dock. You can walk to Happy Jax for ice cream or food. This was our second time coming to Ted and Kay’s and loved making more memories!

Great little getaway

We totally enjoyed our mini-vacation at Ted and Kay's getaway. We were able to enjoy a day out on the lake on the pontoon boat and generally just able to unplug and relax. When we had a few needs, Judy and Vince dropped everything to come help us out. I highly recommend!

Another wonderful vacation!

This is our third year renting from Vince and Judy and it just keeps getting better! They are gracious hosts that go out of their way to ensure you have everything you could possibly need for your stay. Our entire family feels right at home in their wonderful cottage! Wonderful Hostess and Cute Lake House!

We enjoyed our stay and found Judy to be a lovely hostess. We were up on business and only had one day for lake time and the weather did not cooperate. Would have really enjoyed taking the pontoon out for the day. But we were very comfy and cozy in the house and enjoyed the view from the front porch!

Another Wonderful Time!

Our family had another wonderful time at Vince and Judy's beautiful cottage at Canadohta Lake! We look forward to this time all year as it is just the getaway we need from our busy teacher lives. We even brought our pups this year who seemed to enjoy it just as much as the humans did! Vince and Judy are just wonderful hosts and we so appreciate everything they do to ensure that their guests have a great vacation! Thank you so much!

Wonderful family vacation! So relaxing! Most enjoyable stay we have had in years!

The owners of the cottage, Vince and Judy, ensure that you have everything you need to make your vacation at beautiful Canadohta Lake THE best! The cottage is spacious and plenty of room for our family of five. Using the pontoon boat was the highlight of our days and my kids and husband had a blast swimming and fishing. For me, reading a good book on the front deck and watching the sun set on the lake was heaven on earth! It really was the perfect getaway and just what we needed to relax and get away from it all! We hope to make this a new family tradition for us. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage!

Unplugged Serenity

Quaint and comfy cottage perfect for those looking to get away from technology. Beautiful lake views, peaceful surroundings, (mostly) friendly neighbors/locals, and lots of activities to choose from close to the rental. My teens went thru phone/wifi withdrawal, it got a little warm downstairs some afternoon/evenings, and the bedroom AC units were very loud but those were the only downsides to this great lake-adjacent location. We enjoyed having a fire in the evenings, using the kayaks on the little lake and even took the pontoon boat out a couple times. Going for ice cream at Happy Jax was a highlight of our evenings and Rachels BBQ was a great place for dinner. We took a day trip to Presque Isle State Park which was only about an hour away and that was breathtakingly beautiful.

Cottage was nice, but too many issues.

The cottage was cute, and loved all the little personal touches. But, the address was totally wrong, and with the help of someone at a real estate office, we finally found it. (I'm familiar with the lake area, but if someone who had never been there, they would have had a real problem.) Kind of a weird lay out, but that wasn't a negative. Shower door didn't close correctly, upstairs bathroom door wouldn't shut completely, stove oven didn't work, and the door was broke, no spring, and even though there was many kitchen items, only one frying pan. One real oddity, was an air conditioner in the upstairs bathroom, so didn't really cool off the two upstairs bedrooms. It's a maybe if I'd stay there again or not.

Cozy Lake Cottage

We loved our cozy lake cottage with a view of the lake. The weather was cold and rainy most of the time we were there but the cottage was so warm and comfortable. Kind of like being at Grandma's house with the quaint decor! The kitchen is complete with everything you need to cook a meal. The beds are comfortable too. We were sad to leave and hope we will be able to go back soon when the weather is nice and we can enjoy the lake life. If we had to be inside most of the time we glad we were at the cottage.

Quaint cabin

Nice clean property in Canadohtha Lake near Ruggles park. The unit is well stocked with everything you need and is in a great location with a short walk or bike ride around the lake. Most cabins in the area are on well water. This cabin has a water filter which is a great amenity for drinking, cooking and bathing. We only used it to sleep in each night and spent most of our time at a friends cabin. Definitely a bonus being allowed to have our small dog stay with us. Would recommend to other renters.
