Host and house were great. Amenities as promised. The only caution is there are only space heaters. Who would have thought we would have a cold Thanksgiving! If you are staying here 98% of the that would be no problem. There were some cozy throws but we had to bring some extra blankets from our family’s house.

TRUE - Vintage Houses mostly have this issue in the "winter" - suggestions & solutions were provided at check-in - and only a phone call or text away - T Y
We can’t say enough about this property. We had the most amazing time. It has everything you need and is the cleanest place we have ever stayed. Thomas is hospitable, endearing, and wonderfully accommodating. We can’t wait to come back!!
Thomas is amazing and made sure we were always happy. The house was absolutely amazing and we had our party there which was almost 50 people. We will be back and highly recommend this house to anyone visiting Louisiana!!

Great Peeps - that Luv Life...!!....Fun with Nice Positive Energy - TY so much Ya'LL...!!!.....from TOM
this house was a blast from the charming past, mixed with modernization. I absolutely loved the porch, and the peaceful atmosphere of the property. I would definitely stay there again.
We came down for a convention in Houma in July and had stayed last year.
The place had many improvements from before.
The host Mr Thomas, has great communication and goes beyond to make sure we are comfortable and have what we need.
Will stay again!
Our second year staying at the property and it was even better than the first year if that's possible to do! Thomas is an excellent host, great communication about the property and amenities, and extremely clean. The property had everything we needed, and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Thomas for another wonderful stay!
We loved this home. The charm of the place won us over right out the gate. It reminded me of my grandmothers house. Tom was very accommodating and has curated the place with style. Loved the grapefruits every morning and the screened porch was fun also. Very quiet at night and the full kitchen and laundry were great.

Wonderful house and host
Tom was there to make sure we got settled in, the house was so amazing with all the antiques sitting around. It was fun just walking around trying to figure out what everything was. Beds slept great and extremely clean. Probably one of the cleanest VRBO homes we have ever stayed it. If we’re ever in Houme again, we will definitely stay here again. Thanks Tom for such a great experience.
Super girls' trip!! Both house and location were perfect for a friends' get-together. There were 5 ladies in the 65+ age range and couldn't have asked for a better place. We spent a great deal of time on the 'best front porch ever!' Host even helped each car unload luggage and supplies. (Thank you, Thomas!!) Home was well stocked and perfectly decorated with lots of antiques and eye catchers!!

T Y so much - so glad ya'll passed a good time..!! I have been so fortunate (Blessed) to have so many wonderful and great people pass "thru our doors" - Many kind regards to All - Thomas !
My family and I loved our stay at this spacious, charming home in Houma! The screened front porch overlooking the bayou was my favorite place to be. The house was spotless, had plenty of bedrooms as well as loads of room to spread out. My kids appreciated not having to share a bathroom. The property is large, with room to run and play, and climb trees if you have kiddos. Tom went out of his way to provide an extra canoe, and even a kayak! He was a wonderful host, even gifting us with some fresh cut redfish for dinner one night! We enjoyed exploring "cajun country" and would definitely stay here again should we return. Thank you, Tom, for sharing your home with us!

Bayou Stay
The house was perfect for my family from out of town to stay and mingle with my husband's family that lives in town. Four + beds and 4 bathrooms is a bonus luxury that many homes do not offer. There is even an out house bathroom with running water!
Be advised that the host lives on the property and you will see him often. There is also a lot of extra stuff/clutter lying around so young children need to be closely supervised. We rented this space specifically because it was advertised as a place to hold events. We had 20 people for Easter dinner mostly outside in the covered carport. In the middle of the gathering we were told that the extra guests would incur an extra fee.
That's fine but it would have been nice to know before hand.

Dear Guests - the above info is mostly true, I made proper corrections - We are coming out of Hurricane IDA, Drought, & Freezes - the clutter material (to be re-purposed) was worse & actually my paid Krewe & I did fix it up before arrival - this 3 rating is a bit harsh - my fee nominal - Communication is KEY - Thanks Ya'll...!! Tom
The house was clean and accommodating to my party of 6 while attending the Manning Passing Academy. The property is a few steps from the canal and live alligators. The kids instantly starting fishing upon arrival and gators came up quick! Southern Louisiana in late June is NOT an ideal time to visit but MPA is only once a year. A lot of places were still closed due to last years Ida damage and several places were permanently closed.
This was central to everything. Close enough for my sisters wedding
