This property is amazing! There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and have privacy but great gathering spaces as well. The gym was well-appointed and the sauna an amazing way to wind down the day.

We all had a wonderful time here! The houses are even more beautiful in person. We enjoyed playing pool, shuffle board, chess and checkers, sitting at the table playing card games, hot tub and exploring some of Georgia. More than enough space for our extended family of 15.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at the Retreat at Oakwood! Faith was quick to respond to any questions and the houses were beautifully appointed. The Lodge deck was an absolute highlight and we spent a great deal of time enjoying the space from morning until night, rain or shine. There was plenty to do on the property to keep people of all ages entertained and happy, but we also took advantage of opportunities to tube, zip line, hike, and rail bike, using facilities that were anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes away. It is of note that the driveway to the Lodge is steep and heavy rains may have washed out some of the gravel. Most of the time we opted to park by the Cottage and walk up the stairs to the Lodge. This was shared with the host and she responded that the landscapers would look into making sure the driveway is in good condition. Thank you for a terrific family getaway!

This is a wonderful property with amazing views and furnished beautifully for our family reunion of 20. The kitchen is well stocked and there are 3 kitchens between the Lodge and Cottage which gave us all some space! There are 3 en-suite king bedrooms in the cottage and 5 king en-suites in the Main Lodge and all are beautiful! Then a bunk room and nursery room round out the space. Things to know—this area is fairly remote and about 20 min from groceries/activities. However, there is PLENTY of outdoor activities and things to do in a half-hour/hour radius. The property manager responded quickly to any questions we had - a very enjoyable stay!

This property is absolutely gorgeous. Our family had an incredible time and enjoyed our weekend stay for a family reunion. We enjoyed playing all the games, sharing meals together, and watching movies! The saunas and gym were also a huge bonus. We had plenty of room and the home was very clean and we had everything we needed. With the town of Ellijay close by, we were able to enjoy the quaint downtown, go tubing on the river, and play pickleball at the community park. We hope to come back again.

Everything was perfect. The spaciousness, the quality and care taken to make the house exceptional. The little things like dog treats and poop bags, condiments and spices. The beds were comfortable and each one having its own ensuite made everyone feel like they had the best room. The views are amazing, the outdoor area fun, and the wildlife was a great added perk. I don’t have one thing negative to say. This is by far the best VRBO rental I’ve ever made.
