New Listing, Charming 2-bedroom cottage in Seney, White Birch Cottage

Welcome to this charming cottage in Seney. This beautiful property features 2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds and 2 twin bed, perfect for a small group of guests. This cottage is a tri-level cottage. The cottage has a vintage look with vintage kitchen cupboards, Marble top stands and dressers. The kitchen, living room & bathroom are on the main level and there is one bedroom upstairs and 1 downstairs. Please note the bedrooms are private, but there is no doors to lock. Please see the pictures to show you how it is laid out. The bathroom is equipped with a Tub/Shower combo. With amenities like WiFi, AC, and a gas fireplace, you'll have everything you need for a fantastic stay. Our kitchen is equipped with a microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots & pans, stove & oven, plenty of cups & dishes, silverware and for both long or short stays.

There is no cable TV available in our town. We have provided a flat screen that has Roku which gives you access to Free Amazon Prime and you can also add your own Netflex account number or other types of subscriptions.
We supply a starter amount of toilet paper and paper towels. If you feel you will need more, please come prepared.
The cottage is completely cleaned and All bedding is washed between guests. The cottage is in the woods and we have a totally private screened in porch to relax in and enjoy nature.

Activities are abundant! Within walking distance is the Fox River which is a famous for it's trout fishing. Seney Wildlife Refuge is 7 miles to the south. Bike or Drive the 7 mile drive through the refuge or canoe or kayak the river. Bike, canoe, kayak & ORV rentals are available. Our forest offers many beautiful back roads for the ORV fans.

We are 25 miles from Lake Superior and the beautiful town of Grand Marais. Visit the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, The Log Slides & Sable Falls. Munising is 35 miles away and offers beautiful falls, as well as Boat rides to view the Pictured Rocks and Different shipwrecks. The beautiful Tahaquamenon Falls is 50 miles away, but make sure you stop to visit the Oswald Bear Ranch on your way, and see his black bears. You may be able to hold a cub! Mackinac Island, and the the Big Mac Bridge that joins the Upper & Lower Peninsula, is 1 1/2 hours away.

Winter is also a beautiful time of the year. Seney is a central hub for many snowmobile trails. Trails go to Germfask, & Curtis to the south and Newberry, Paradise, and Tahquamenon Falls to the east. Trails to the north link us to Grand Marais and on the west is Wetmore and Munising. We have one of the best groomer Crews in Michigan and they are dedicated to having the trails in tip top shape.

This home was beautiful and comfortable. It made me feel like I’d come home. We loved everything about it! The host was so easy to communicate with as well. The small heater/fireplace in the living room was so welcome on chilly mornings. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was nice. Not ideal for older people because of the steps but we managed. Nice large tub/shower and bathroom sink. Pleasant screened in room in the back of the house. Even though there were other places nearby it seemed private because of the trees. Quiet area. Good centralized area for the various places we travelled.

This quaint home was a welcome respite after a long drive North for vacation. It took us a bit to adjust the 2 window A/C units for a comfortable temp but they worked wonderfully throughout our 4 night stay! The kitchen was well stocked with appropriate dishes & cooking provisions as we made breakfast & dinner each night after our daily adventures around the UP! The hosts do a great job keeping the thirsty mosquitos out of the home. I was even able to enjoy several hours one evening out in the screened in porch reading a new book! While we had no issues with insects inside the house, the indoor bug zapper took some getting used to! It's quite loud but very effective! The location is perfect for hitting up many tourist "must-see" attractions as you are right in the middle of everything with a short drive to each place. However, being as the house is located in a residential area, it doesn't provide an entirely secluded, quiet UP experience. The hosts were easy to contact & quick to respond to questions. They even allowed us to check in an hour earlier which was very much appreciated! Definitely recommend this place if you are wanting to hit up Tahquemenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Pictured Rocks, Munising, Marquette & ALL the fun things to do in the UP!

My family and I stayed for her for 5 days! It was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, kitchen was large with coffee pot , toaster , pots pans , glasses, bowls and silverware. Back porch is inclosed to sit in. Small backyard with propane grill. The whole upstairs is open with plenty of space and storage. Down stairs is three beds with adequate space for everyone to be comfortable. Living room has couch and TV ( no cable service but they have a streaming service you can use) we did not use the Tv at all while there. Best recommendation is to stop at IGA and get groceries because everything closes early ( we also came during 4th of July-holiday hours) we ate at Jolly Inn, went to Grand Marias beach, Log Slide,Au Sable Lighthouse, Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rock. These are all within 40-45 mins from the Cabin. There’s tons of mosquitos and bugs so bring the good stuff. The host was amazing she took my personal call and was very helpful when needed. We definitely would stay here again.

The cottage was exactly as described and the perfect location for our trips to Munising, Grand Marais, and Tahquamenon Falls! The hosts made communication and renting very easy!The cottage was very clean and equipped with all we needed for a comfortable stay. We were able to cook meals when we didn't want to eat out. The area was quiet. We would definitely rent from them again!

Perfect spot to explore the UP!! The cabin was exceptionally clean and super comfortable. The bed was very nice and provided a good night's rest. The hosts were awesome and provided all of the necessary ammenities and entertainment. If you see this property available and you are exploring the areas around the eastern part of the UP, so not hesitate to book it.

Perfect location. We were side x siding, but would work for sledding as well. Trails, market, restaurant right up the street. The home is very clean and wonderfully appointed. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into it!

Excellent all around

Very clean, comfortable and cute! Property was well kept and updated for comfort. Clearly these hosts take pride in their property and there was great attention to detail in the things available (kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels for the shower etc). This was a great place for our family to stay while in the UP to see family\friends and Pictured Rocks, we will be back!

The house was very clean and cozyCentrally located for excursions to pictured rocks and beaches. We visited the wildlife reserve didn’t see much wild life but it’s a beautiful location. We also took a canoe trip down the manistique river where I fell in the river. Very challenging river to navigate.The only thing missing is a washer and dryer.We had a great time and would visit again.

It was clean. We used the kitchen and made a meal. There were 2 twin beds, a full bed and a queen. It was just off 28 and you can take that all the way into Munising. It was about forty minutes away. It is also not far from pictured Rocks NP. If you’re staying a few days maybe pack some groceries. First left after auto shop. It was nice!

The home was very clean , very comfortable, cozy, plenty of storage , had everything we needed for the week even though there wasn’t a washer & dryer we just brought enough clothes for the week. There is a gas station around the corner & a family dollar , dollar tree & restaurants etc about 15-20 minutes away. Our stay was very relaxing & the hosts were great & responded immediately. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for being great hosts!
