Pelican, a neighbourhood in Cape Coral, is home to this holiday home. While the natural beauty of Estero Boulevard Beach and Sanibel Island Southern Beach can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can explore Key West Express.
Sun Splash Water Park and Mike Greenwell's Bat-A-Ball & Family Fun Park are also worth visiting.
The house was clean. It was nicely painted with fairly new floors. Pool area was great with a nice view of the canal. Had a few problems though. Ice maker did not work, grill needs to be fixed,(needs a lighter to light, not supplied and a grill brush, not supplied), blinds in the Florida room and back bedroom need to be repaired or replaced, no towel bars in bathrooms, and only 3 hangers in the whole house.
The place looked as described in the pictures but as we started to settle we started noticing things. First of all there was no dish soap or hand soap, no paper towels, one roll of toilet paper in the hall bathroom. The master bedroom did have one extra roll. We had to go out and purchase these items, which we left for the next person that came. There were 3 Tvs and only the one in the master room worked. There was no broom. Also, a few roaches. The pool was nice, but there was a broken chair, in which my friend sat on. When she leaned back the back just fell back and she banged her head pretty hard. One day the owner called me a few times asking if he could have permission to enter the garage to show a car that he had in there and was trying to sell it. We weren't there at the time so I gave permission to enter. When we returned at 1:30 the whole house smelled of fumes from the car. The smell was so pungent we started to get headaches. We opened some of the windows to let fresh air in.Left again at 7:30 for dinner and when we came back you could still smell it. I did let him know and he apologized. There was also some kind of bed bugs in 2 of the beds. Everyday we woke up with more bites on our bodies. At first we thought they were mosquito bites but then we realized that we had clusters of bites and straight lines so that was indication of bed bugs. I will say that he did let us stay a few more hours after our regular check out time and that was nice of him.

Hello Veronica, as for the bed bugs, that is incorrect, those are noseeum bites, very tiny bugs that are found outside, usually coming from the Gulf waters. I'm just now circling back to these comments because I thought VRBO took care of this incorrect, uneducated statement about the bed bugs. I sent over pictures of the beds and comments by the pest control people to vrbo. stating that there are no bed bug stains, etc., on beds.
VRBO was in need of some maintenance. Bathroom stool was loose, no towel racks, no toilet paper dispenser, no spoons, limited cooking pots and pans, beds were so-so, ice maker was not connected, hot tub unavailable, lawn was unkempt, pool was great but the noseeums were so bad at dusk you could not sit outside! Some lawn furniture was broken. Location was great.
