About this property

San Vito lo Capo small Villa in rural style with stunning sea view

The house, lies in a lovely spot, on the slopes of the Mount Palatimone in a panoramic position overlooking the whole surrounding land and coast line. Is at about 7 km far from San Vito, 32 km from Trapani, 100 km from Palermo and 3 km from the first inhabited place, the village of Castelluzzo.
This is a typical country cottage, integrating itself with the surrounding nature.

It’s an ideal place to enjoy quiet and silence, far from any sort of noise, it can be reached by car running through a private track about 1/2 km long.
You will be surrounded by olives trees and the typical wild nature of the Sicily’s countryside, there are hardly any houses around and far away you may see a very old watching tower. We are just inside the Mount Cofano Reserve where new constructions are not anymore allowed.
Along the coast line you can see small creeks, bays and spectacular nature corners on one of the most suggestive sea shore of Sicily. The near coast and beaches are washed by a crystalline water.

You can enjoy changing your bath place everyday, having different choices. If you are fond of snorkelling or diving this will be your ideal place.

Our villa is a perfect base for daily excursion to the historical and natural places of the Trapani and Palermo province like Mozia, Segesta, Selinunte, Erice, Marsala, Monreale, the Natural Reserve of Zingaro, etc


This house made by stones, has recently been renewed respecting the natural environment and using local materials; it consists of:
־ one double bedroom with one large bed sea view
־ one room with 2 singles beds
־ one large wliving room sea view
־ one kitchen
־ one bathroom with shower and washing machine

Out side one large terrace with a beautiful view of the coast fully equipped with barbecue and shower with hot water on the outside.

This is a wonderful spot for a family in summertime. The house is big enough for 4 and well equipped. The beach is very handy and the view is spectacular. Marcello. your host, is super helpful and speaks fluent English. I was unlucky with the weather as it was rainy and cold. While the house has heating, I didn’t know it was not included in the price. In an effort to stay within my budget I remained uncomfortably cold. Also the ‘hot water’ was only lukewarm. E40 cleaning fee was also added. I was disappointed in these extra charges. If you’re ok with these extra charges, I highly recommend Villa Makda.

We had a an amazing week in this house. Outstanding sunsets on Monte Cofano and great swimming in the coves along the coast. If you need a place to relax in a beautiful and secluded environment then we highly recommend this place :)

Prachtige locatie met veel privacy. Het betreft een authentiek huis met mooie sicilische kenmerken zoals de keramieke vloeren. De keuken is niet heel modern maar dat zou daar ook niet passen. Vanaf de veranda kijk je uit op de bergen en de zee, je voelt dat je midden in de natuur zit. De heerlijke buitendouche met warm water is echt een plus.

Paradies - ich möchte sofort wieder dorthin

Ein wunderschöner Ort, etwas abgelegen und deshalb ideal für alle diejenigen, die Ruhe und ein bisschen Zurückgezogenheit brauchen. Für uns war dieser Ort ideal, wir sind zufrieden, erholt und nur mit schwerem Herzen wieder nach Hause gefahren. Die Außendusche war ein großes Vergnügen und Luxus pur auf einfache Weise. Marcello und Makta sind gastfreundlich und herzlich, das Meer ein Traum - und für den Blick von der Terrasse habe ich gar keine Worte. Auch unsere Teenager-Kinder saßen glücklich hier, haben gelesen und das Handy auch mal zur Seite gelegt. Danke für diesen schönen Ort!

Traumhäuschen mit Traumausblick!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Marcello kleinem Häuschen. Die Terrasse ist der Wahnsinn, das Häuschen hat alles, was man braucht, von Liegestühlen über Sonnenschirm für den Strand bis zu einer Waschmaschine. Auch die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Marcello war sehr freundlich und hat uns frisch gepresstes Olivenöl und Frizzante zur Begrüßung gebracht! Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und abgeschieden, aber man fühlt sich absolut sicher. San Vito Lo Capo ist in 10 Minuten zu erreichen, viele andere kleine Orte auch. Direkt unten am Meer gibt es einen schönen Strand und man kann quasi zu Fuß in den Cofano Naturpark gehen. Wir waren absolut begeistert!

Kurz gefasst: wer nach einem idyllischen, ruhigen und gesunden Urlaub am Meer sucht liegt hier richtig - auch im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Das Haus hat eine sehr gute Lage von Olivenbäumen umgeben, mit fantastischem Meeresblick von der Terasse. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung sind einfach, man hat zugleich alles was man braucht. Das Haus ist großartig für einen Urlaub in den warmen Jahreszeiten. Im Winter ist es auch gut geeignet wenn man sich viel draußen aufhält (Wanderungen, Sport etc.). Sonst muss man bedenken, je nach Wetterlage, dass es drinnen etwas kühl und dunkel sein kann, vor allem weil es in dieser Zeit immer im Schatten liegt. Makda und Marcello sind besonders nette und unterhaltsame Leute. Sie haben uns und unsere Kinder Kinder sehr liebevoll empfangen und bewirtschaftet. Das gekochte Essen war äußerst lecker mit vielen Zutaten aus dem eigenen Hof oder Garten. Unsere Kinder waren außerdem von dem Haushund Baloo begeistert.

Ruhiges Ferienhäuschen mit Super Meerblick

Wir haben in diesem Fereinhaus 2 Wochen verspäteten Sommerurlaub (Ende Oktober) verbracht. Das Häuschen ist mit PKW gut erreichbar und herrlich einsam gelegen. Also etwas für Ruhe und Entspannung suchende Urlauber. Man ist (mit Auto) in ca. 10 Minuten im Ferienort San Vito Lo Capo. Dort lässt es sich gut am Meer entlang schlendern und Cappuccino trinken. Um diese Jahreszeit ist der Ort spärlich besucht, hat aber einen gewissen Charme und einige nette Restaurants. Ans Meer gelangt man ebenfalls per Auto - es gibt diverse Strände zur Auswahl. Das Haus selber hat einen einfachen Standard - ist aber gut bewohnbar. An elektrischen Geräten sind Waschmaschine, Kühlschrank und Gefrierschrank vorhanden. Es gibt keine Spülmaschine, kein Fernseher, keine Kaffeemaschine. Der Herd wird mit Gas betrieben - funktioniert einwandfrei! Leider gibt es kein W-Lan und auch nur sehr schlechtes Internet. E-Mails empfangen, mit Freunden kommunizieren und Nachrichten empfangen - das konnten wir oft nur von unterwegs. Diverse Tiere, wie Hühner, der Hund des Vermieters und kleine Katzen kommen öfters zu Besuch auf die Terrasse - lustige Gesellschaft! Man kann Wanderungen auf die benachbarten Berge Monte Cofono (anstrengend! Leichter ist die Umrundung) und Monte Monaco (eher ein Spaziergang) unternehmen. Uns hat der Urlaub im Häuschen sehr gut gefallen - wir können es durchaus empfehlen. Der Vermieter wohnt gleich oberhalb und kam ab und zu vorbei - er kümmert sich freundlich und ist sehr nett. Leider haben wir beim Abschied vergessen, nach einer Flasche Olivenöl für zu Hause zu fragen - das gibt es dort direkt vom Vermieter und ist wahnsinnig lecker!!

Un merveilleux séjour

Très belle maison avec une vue inoubliable sur la baie. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le calme et la beauté du site ainsi que le bord de mer encore préservé. Il est très facile de visiter les sites proches : Erice, Segeste, Trapani...et les réserves de Cofano et Zingaro. L'accueil de Marcello a été efficace et attentionné, rien ne nous a manqué !
