"The Schoolhouse" located in downtown Farmville, just minutes to Hampden Sydney College and the High Bridge Trail State Park. Short walk (.4 mile/9 minute walk) to Longwood University, Greenfront Furniture and all that quaint downtown Farmville has to offer with shopping and dining. Centrally located in the foothills of Virginia, an hour to Richmond, to Charlottesville and to Lynchburg areas and situated minutes from 4 state parks!

"The Schoolhouse" offers all the comforts of home complete with a fully fenced in yard, rear deck with gas fire pit and gas grill, basement with laundry, foosball and ping pong tables. Fully stocked kitchen with coffee bar, first floor primary (king bed) and full bath. Designer dining and living rooms with fireplace. Upstairs boasts another bedroom (king bed) and a bunk room with two twin beds as well as a full bath. Additional parking in rear, total space for up to 5 cars.

**We allow up to 2, well behaved/housebroken DOGS (no cats, birds, reptiles or gerbils, yes this has been asked ha), pets are not allowed on furniture,beds, or bedding. Please bring your own pet supplies, bowls and dog-beds.

This lovely home is perfectly appointed for three couples visiting Farmville to bike the High Bridge Trail. Check-in was easy. The home is nicely decorated in a classic vintage sporty-outdoorsy motif. Much thought, planning and care was put into furnishing each room for maximum enjoyment.The living area has comfortable sofas and chairs; the outdoor seating and gas table on the back deck were lovely for enjoying conversation, drinks, sunsets, and birdsong. The fenced back yard provides a secure place to store bicycles overnight. Although we did not cook meals, the kitchen seems well-equipped. We appreciated the ample coffee k-cups for our group.Shampoo, soap, and conditioner were provided with bright white towels in both spotlessly clean bathrooms. The laminated signage throughout the house was helpful.All in our traveling party enthusiastically recommend a stay at this great home.About the area: The High Bridge trail is an easy 1/2-mile downhill ride from the house. Biking back up the hill after peddling for hours was a small challenge! We walked to High Street for a wonderful dinner at Taproot Tavern. We also enjoyed an outdoor lunch on the riverside deck at Charley's Cafe, where the food was just "okay". Tip: don't order the French Onion Soup-- it looks much better than it tastes.We didn't spend much time in the shops but enjoyed a walk around Longwood University. The campus is pretty and more extensive than it appears from Main Street.
