This is one bedroom ground floor unit decorated in Hawaiian style prints and artwork, with a Garden View and easy access to pool and BBQ. King bed in bedroom and queen hide-a-bed in living room, to sleep four guests comfortably. Kitchen cabinets are white with wood, and well stocked for all your cooking needs. Bathroom has both tub AND tile enclosure, as the unit is kid friendly and comfortable. Full Kitchen comes complete with Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, Microwave, Toaster, and all the necessary cookware for meals at home. Accessible to you inside the unit are Ceiling Fans, Linens, Washer & Dryer, Ironing Board, High Speed Internet, as well as an Air Conditioner in the bedroom. Outside of the unit you'll find patio for outdoor dining, BBQ Grills, Gas Grills, Outdoor Showers, Shared Pools, Tennis Courts, and direct Beach access!

The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc., which was helpful for making meals. The bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of towels and supplies. The location was perfect and provided quick access to the beach, restaurants, walking paths, and more. We would definitely stay there again.

perfect location

This was indeed, the perfect location. The beach and parks are walking distance and grocery stores and good restaurants are 5-10 min driving distance. Condo was super clean and neighbors were quiet. I'd recommend couples and families to definitely stay here.

There from Thursday to Monday. NO WiFi or cable! Limited mobility for an older traveller meant we planned to watch movies indoors. Called Spectrum, they said owner needed to call and set up account. Property managers were very nice but their hands were tied regarding owners requirement contacting Spectrum directly. Tried to contact owner. Absolutely no response.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Worst room condition in nearly 40 years our family has stayed at Hale Kamaole. Soiled carpets, broken ceiling fan (bedroom), bugs in kitchen & bathroom (even though they sprayed after our 1st request, 2nd & 3rd complaints went unanswered), mildew at bottom of shower curtain liner, shower faucet very difficult to use, broken dishwasher shelf, no kitchen towels, soiled hot pads. We stayed in this unit several years ago & only rebooked this unit because we were told it was upgraded & liked the location.

OK, But Opportunities for Improvement

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Having stayed at Hale Kamaole many times previously, we love the complex. Well run, great location, friendly people. But did not enjoy this unit. To be fair, it was priced lower than many of the other units, so I understand you get what you pay for. But these are the items that need addressing: (1) 4 light bulbs in the unit are burned out. (2) garbage disposal was leaking (fixed during our stay). (3) the bed mattress was fine, but the sheets (while clean) are worn out (tiny cotton balling on the sheets are uncomfortable). (4) cheap foam bed pillows are uncomfortable, and would suggest a variety of pillow types. (5) Palm plant blocking the patio needs to be severely trimmed. (6) batteries in the flashlight are dead. (7) would have been nice to have more cable channel choices (minimum service). But these things can be fixed with a minimum of cost. The unit in general needs upgrading, in particular the bathroom/shower area, but I understand that is costly. In summary, the unit was mostly functional, furnishings and the kitchen were just fine. And since we love the complex itself, our stay was still enjoyable. Hope this somewhat critical review is taken as the title says...opportunities for improvement.

Great location.

Review of Hale Kamaole 133

The unit was was just as advertised, in a great location close to the upper pool. We would come back. Our housekeeper was especially friendly and helpful. The only problem we encountered was a loud air conditioner that finally broke in the middle of the night with load BANG near the end of our stay. Our housekeeper asked for it to be repaired for us and it was quickly, but it didn't really cool the air after that. It just operated as a fan. Apart from that, we enjoyed the stay and would come back.

Due to the accident that happened to the other condo last year, there should always be a fire extinguisher accessible or stated where it’s located. We were pretty short of cups to drink out of. Also the dryer lint was about 3 inches thick. That can be a fire hazard so make sure that’s emptied every so often. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I was wondering if this condo would be available next year- same time?
