Absolutely loved this tiny cabin! This is a great spot with a great view. The hot tub felt great and the aesthetic was very cozy! The host was super friendly and very easy to communicate with! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone !

Such a beautiful and peaceful cabin. I stayed here during a difficult time, and the quiet surroundings and cozy space helped me find calm again. Clean, comfortable, safe and surrounded by nature it felt like the perfect place to breathe and reset.

The property was secluded. It was clean and everything in the house worked as it should. Ac unit worked great. A few things to know are the driveway is steep and just gravel, so some will have trouble going up it. The hot tub wasn't heating properly and the chlorine levels were really high. The biggest thing is if you are over 5'5" it's a pain to get to and from the bed upstairs. Very low ceiling. Upstairs window was also broken in the bottom right corner so bugs did get in.

Perfect Cozy Getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway with our dog and absolutely loved it! The cabin was spotless, felt nearly brand new, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it felt for a tiny cabin—we never felt cramped. The setting was peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive. This place is amazingly peaceful. Tons of outdoor activities are within a short drive. Pretty place chapel was the main reason for our vist to the area and was within a short drive (20min) and we were able to make a sunrise viewing with no problem. The cabin was very nice and clean. Definitely recommend giving this one a look if you are traveling to the Brevard area.

This is truly a gem near DuPont National Forest. The property location is as close as you would expect - 10 minutes drive to all the waterfalls and scenic hikes as well as stores nearby. My family stayed for 3 days and we had so much fun at the cabin. It has pretty much everything and the owner Susan and Gerald were very responsive and accommodating to our requests. The hot tub was a huge plus for the kids. We would definitely visit again.

The house was cute and clean. It's especially nice to have a hot tub in a secluded location, great view of the night sky. Some things to be aware of: the driveway is steep and graveled, they really mean it when they recommend 4 wheel drive or AWD. The steps to the loft are very steep, would not recommend them for anyone with mobility issues. You do have to crawl a couple feet to the bed. Would strongly recommend the owner to put a padded mat in that area to protect knees. We put pillows down and that was very helpful. We had a small issue with the heater but the owners responded quickly and the issue was resolved within an hour which was very appreciated. Otherwise, it's a great property and well worth the price. Would definitely stay there again.

The Perfect Getaway

This little « hillside hideaway » couldn’t have been any cuter. It was easy to find, SO clean and provided everything my kids and I needed (beyond expectation) during our stay. Small but so well thought out and efficient that we hardly noticed! The four of us fit perfectly and we were very comfortable. It’s close to some fun places to eat but I also cooked a few meals in the cabin and that was great too. Loved it! I’m already looking at dates to book again next summer The hostess is very kind and i absolutely recommend!

I liked the quietness of the location. I didn't like the steep driveway which my car could only get one time. You need a 4 wheel drive probably. Also, i couldn't sleep in the bed because the cabin had stairs that were 12 inches or more. They were not uniform heights either. Most importantly, you could not stand up in the bedroom as it wasn't a true A frame (I'm 5'2").

Cozy and Quaint Stay

Our stay here was quiet and relaxing. We were attending a wedding at Pretty Place Chapel which was very breathtaking. We also took a trip to Looking Glass Falls. It was amazing. We did have a medical issue that required to different trips to the ER. The owners were more than gracious in accommodating our needs. They went above and beyond expectations to help. We are very grateful and thankful. We would recommend anyone traveling in the area to check out the cabin. Be aware that the driveway is quite steep, but with a little momentum, it wasn’t too bad. I would recommend an AWD, but it is not necessary. Once in the cabin, it’s quite worth the little steep drive up. It did not disappoint! Take a moment and check it out! God Bless!

Charming cabin retreat in the woods!!

We had a lovely stay at this charming cabin, which had a cosy, homely feel and came equipped with all the amenities we needed. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the host was easily reachable if needed. The photos accurately reflect the accommodation, which was reassuring.The cabin’s remote location made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside. The only downside for us was the lack of curtains or blinds on the windows—not for privacy, as the location is very secluded—but simply to help darken the room for a well-deserved lie-in after busy days out exploring.A fun and unique feature was the bedroom setup. Accessing the bed required a bit of crawling (we’re over 55, so it felt a bit like glamping!), which we found amusing and all part of the adventure.All in all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to truly get away from it all—without having to give up the comforts of home

What a wonderful place! I stayed here for my birthday weekend with my partner and I wish we could have stayed longer because we really enjoyed being there. This place is tucked away so perfectly but its very easy to find! The kitchen was fully equipped with all the things needed for cooking and cleaning. The loft area was low, we had to crawl in there lol but it was super comfy and we slept sooo good. The hot tub was very relaxing and there were great suggestions for food and activities left from the host. Everything inside and outside was incredibly clean. I think we will try to book this one again next year in the summer or fall! I do want to add in that the driveway was sooooo steep, we chose to drive our truck because it has a tow package and all wheel drive, but there was a moment I felt like the my Subaru would have climbed the hill better ( because of the weight difference and length and also would have been slightly easier to back up and turn around) . I could be wrong about that. I don’t do much mountain climbing but either way we got up and down with a tiny struggle but like I said previously, SO SO worth the stay. We will be back one day :)

Missing a few basic necessities but overall was a pleasant stay. Hot tub could have been hotter and the jets sometimes were super strong and sometimes weak, despite trying to adjust the settings. Was out of necessities like paper towel (no extra rolls left), salt shaker was completely empty, and some of the wine glasses were dusty. Hardest part was sleeping in the loft. Not suitable for tall people but fun nonetheless! Super secluded and up in the trees which made for a truly serene experience. Tried to start a campfire and the wood was wet, perhaps a cover or area for dry firewood would be great. Check in was seamless and grill was clean, but not advertised on original listing. Cute little place!

Hillside Hideaway cabin is unique in the fact that the Martin family built it. What started out as a Father and Son pre-fab kit project as a tiny cabin in the woods for family members to enjoy, turned into an opportunity to share with others. Blood, sweat, love, and patience created the wonderful cabin that we call our home away from home.
