Welcome to Lookout Mountain Lodge, Golden Colorado!
Only 25 minutes from Denver, the main floor lodge offers another level to enjoy an expansive views of the Colorado front range, and the city. Experience "old world charm" with modern amenities.
Lookout Mountain Lodge main floor has two bedrooms, two baths, dining room, living room with sofa bed, piano room, full kitchen, and wrap around deck to host family, friends, and very important people. In an ideal location, the lodge is only 3 minutes away from hiking and biking trails, 7 minutes to Boetcher Mansion and Mt Vernon Country Club, 10 minutes to Golden and Red Rocks Amphitheater, 25 minutes to Denver, 45 minutes from Denver International Airport, and 45 minutes to the first of over 10 ski resorts!

There is 1 designated parking area on the paved lower lot on southeast side of the property that can accommodate 2 cars. You will be given a door code at time of arrival.

There is a 30 day minimum stay. Please confirm your reservation a day prior to arrival.
Check in time is 3pm MT the day of arrival. Check out time is 11am the day of departure.

Watch out for deer, elk, foxes, bunnies, cyclists, and playing children! You have encountered a wilderness like you may have never seen before, so please treat this special place with care.

The outdoor area: picnic tables, Jacuzzi, sport-court (for pickle ball, badminton, and basketball) are for your use. Outdoor common areas and entrances are monitored by video security cameras.

[If you are a new traveler, you will be required to provide additional information about yourself and guests. For our property owners’ safety, a copy of your ID (Driver’s License or Passport) will be required for your stay.]

For your safety, furniture weight limit should not exceed 250 lbs per person.

Nice place with a view

Enjoyed staying here, it was well equipped if not a bit dated. Unfortunately at the end of our stay the property manager suggested we stole glassware and coat hangers which wasn’t the most pleasant way to end our stay. Recommend future guests take photos of the cupboards to avoid a similar experience

We’re happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! We spoke with the property manager and they clarified that they were trying to convey that some glassware were missing, not stolen. We understand broken glasses are common, replaceable, and some item accidentally are misplaced, especially over month long stays. We encourage all of guests to report any issues during their stay so they can be fixed right away. Communication is key! Safe travels Steve!

Wonderful view, baby grand piano, and huge projection TV!

> Fantastic view looking east toward Denver at day and night. I believe you can also see Nebraska, Kansas, and Wyoming from the top of Lookout Mountain. > A nice quiet, peaceful location. Quasi-rural setting with the benefit of being close enough to Golden for shopping. > Location was perfect for easy access to Denver and trips to the mountains. I made day trips to ski at Copper, A-Basin, and Winter Park, ~ 1 hour away if you beat the traffic. > The large screen projection TV and sound system came as a nice surprise. Movie nights were awesome! > The baby grand piano was another bonus. > In winter, pay attention to winter storms warnings and potential I-70 and Lookout Mountain Road closures. I stayed in Denver one night during a surprise snowstorm. > Overall, a really nice place to spend a month. I would definitely consider it again!

Wonderful stay on Lookout Mountain!

What a wonderful extended stay on Lookout Mountain! The space is very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We absolutely loved the incredible sunrises, and watching all the wildlife! And the proximity to Golden, Evergreen, the mountains, and Denver is perfect! The property management is accessible and responsive.

Great location for a quiet getaway.

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Golden. The property is in a great location and is unique. Great sunrises from the hot tub. Bugling elk wandered through the yard occasionally, along with deer, a fox and a bunny. Other than the elk bugling it's very quiet. Neighbors are friendly and the city of Golden, a few miles away, is a great place to eat and people watch. The property is also well situated for day trips into the Rocky Mountains. We loved it.

Peaceful place to stay with beautiful sunrise / city views

My husband, his 3 teenagers, and myself all stayed at this property during our time in Colorado. Even though this property is a little drive outside of Golden, it is fairly convenient to get to, and you can’t beat the views! The sunsets over Denver as well as the night sky looking over the lit up city were beautiful to view from the wrap around deck. And there is a decent chance of seeing wildlife up close - one morning at sunrise, we had an entire herd of elk in our backyard! The home had the right amount of space for everyone (teens haha) to have their space and recharge, and everything was in good working condition. WiFi connection was great even though we were technically in the mountains. The listing says it sleeps up to 6, which includes a sleeper sofa, but that was not comfortable to sleep on (luckily, the couch was comfy when not pulled out)! Communication with our property hostess, Amanda, was quick and helpful. Everyone was comfortable and enjoyed their stay. Highly recommended - thanks!
