Colorado Mountain Paradise-Constructed On 3 Sunny Acres
This gorgeous custom log home completed construction as of January 1, 2013. The beautiful slate floors, high vaulted ceilings, large windows, and state-of-the-art kitchen are just some of the high quality features. The great room has two-story windows to gaze at the white-capped mountains, stars, and beautiful views. The open concept of the great room, kitchen, dining area, and breakfast counter with a big screen LCD TV/DVD player makes this an ideal area for entertaining. Keep your car inside the attached 2-car garage for easy access in and out of the cabin. The home is tastefully decorated with Southwest décor, log accents and a pellet stove for warmth after that long day of skiing. The cabin is situated on the sunny side of Glacier Ridge so that you have views from every window in the home. The large wrap-around deck affords views of Colorado’s well known Fourteeners Lincoln, Bross and Democrat amongst the beautiful aspen, pine and massive blue sky of San Isabel National Forest. The Master Bedroom has a private balcony, queen bed and dressers, luxurious bath with rain shower head and big screen TV. Attached is the master loft with full length windows, couch with queen bed, sitting chairs, tables, desk, and telescope to view the crystal clear starry nights and mountain range. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, and windows admiring the views both west and east. The third bedroom located on the lower level has a bunk bed with a Full Size top & bottom mattress and is a great set-up for kids! All of the rooms are tastefully decorated with plenty of room and comfort for the entire family including the dog. The game room features a foos-ball table, bumper pool table and comfortable black leather sectional couch for an evening of fun. The roads are county maintained but 4-wheel drive is highly recommended due to the weather conditions in this area. If you enjoy ATVing or snowmobiling, rentals and information are available from Fairplay to Breckenridge. Interested in snow skiing or snowshoeing? You can be on the slopes of Breckenridge Resort within 20 minutes or for a full day of skiing into the night, head on over to Keystone Resort. Copper Mountain and Vail Resorts are also another option that is easily accessible. There are several world-class fishing areas including Antero Reservoir, Spinney Reservoir, Eleven Mile Reservoir, and the Platte River. Thanks to our central location, you can take advantage of Colorado’s great outdoor activities, year round.

Beautiful scenery and home. Communicating with host was a joy. This was the best stocked house we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend this home to stay in if you are up in the mountains.
We enjoyed our recent family stay at this beautiful cabin. It was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed and then some! Very well stocked and organized. The owner was very kind and responded quickly to my questions in preparation for our stay. Grateful our dog was welcome. Would love to stay here again.
Great home with awesome views and location. Everything was so well appointed with comfortable beds, nice kitchen and great loft and lower level. Would stay here again if we are in the area.
This is a wonderful property, not far from any amenities, providing beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The house was well-stocked and very comfortable for our family of 4.
Very nice home with plenty of room for all 7 of us. Nicely decorated for Christmas. Owner was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything to make our stay great.
Amazing week. Photos do not do this cabin justice! Highly recommend!

Beautiful home. Better than advertised. Great escape. Close enough to the action and just far enough away to enjoy some sought after solitude. Lovely home on some surreal property. Gracious and communicative host. Can't recommend the stay enough.

By far the best experience I've had staying in small Colorado mountain towns! Very close to Mt Princeton and Breckenridge. The home is jaw dropping beautiful, as well as the scenery. Thank you so much for allowing us to have a dream birthday getaway!

Stay here you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic value, superb management, great centralized location and everything you need or want close by. Outstanding for families, fully furnished and a wonderful experience. We spent 7 days here and did not want to leave. If you enjoy family and Colorado this is your place. Climbed a mountain, saw a concert, toured Denver and went to RMNP-amazing.
Recommended with extreme enthusiasm.

This part of Colorado is truley paradise!
Our Family has vacationed to the Alma area three times now. Each of these times we have stayed in a wonderful residence that has made the vacation much more enjoyable and relaxing, this home was no exception to the rule. Easy access to all facets of social and recreational fun available here, within minutes from this residence. The view from the deck is all mountain!

Marc & I are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay! We too, love Alma because it is centrally located to so many fun activities for both Summer & Winter; that is one of the reasons why we bought our home. The view is spectacular whether on the deck or sitting in the Great Room!
Thank you for your review. We hope that we can accommodate you in the future!!

Very nice cabin!
Nice location for off roading adventures and climbing 14ers.
All three bathrooms are very nice and with 7 of us we used all three of them. We cooked at the cabin most meals and the kitchen is nicely equipped, the gas grill cooks well, and the dish washer is quiet.
The mattress on the main level queen bed needs upgrading - sags to the middle. With 7 the eating area was crowded. The decks are enjoyable.
We had a wonderful stay.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and would like to address your feedback.
The mattress in the master bedroom is new (bought a year ago) and is top of the line from a major mattress store. As a frequent traveler myself (every weekend for 6 months, nationally/internationally) I know that beds vary for each person.
The dining room table seats 6 with an additional bar for (3) next to the table. There is an extension to the table on the main room floor and portable TV tables are located next to the dining room table to expand into the family room.
Unfortunately, the master bedroom towel rack was busted off the wall and the bedding and towels were not in the laundry room as stated in our contract agreement (pictures/dates can be provided). You were refunded your entire deposit of $350, which we more than generous on our behalf.
Again, we appreciate your feedback and wish you the best for future VRBO request.

Log Cabin Luxury
This is a beautiful log cabin (house) with plenty of room for a large family. The wrap around porch was perfect for relaxing and enjoying a spectacular view of the sunset over the mountains.
Breckenridge is less than 30 minutes away if you want tourist activities. Geocaches within a few miles will also take you to scenic locations you would be otherwise unlikely to see.
We're looking forward to a return visit.
p.s. Tami, the owner, great to work with.

Our stay was lovely and we really enjoyed this relaxing house. Just a couple of things of interest to note. The view is stunning all the way around the house. The living area on the main floor does get warm during late afternoon. It’s a great house for family to spread out and there is plenty to do and lots of games to play. Kitchen was great, and we loved watching the hummingbirds Drink from the feeder. We would come back for sure.

Mountain Paradise
The property was more beautiful than the photos could ever show. My family and I had a fabulous time hiking, shopping in Breckenridge and just relaxing. The cabin was very well maintained and very clean upon arrival. I would highly recommend this property and would go back any time. Everything that we needed was provided in the cabin. The owner was very easy to work with. She was gracious, accommodating and extremely helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cabin with us.

Charming Place
Took my parents, wife, 2 year old son, and two dogs to this wonderful home between Fairplay and Alma. This place felt like we were at home with the decorating and having all of the amenities. The Aspen log home was impressive on the inside and the family enjoyed looking out the windows staring out at the mountains. The location was very convenient to shopping at Breckenridge and there is a grocery store in Fairplay 3 miles from the home. The easiest 14er in Colorado Mount Sherman is only about 15 miles away, made for a great hike. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for your own solitude and away from the resort towns.

Thank you for the nice review. Marc & I are happy that you enjoyed your stay and were able to hike Mt. Sherman while your we're there! We still have a dozen 14ers to go but hope someday we will accomplish them all. Let us know if we can accommodate you in the future!
Gorgeous, peaceful, central location. Home is comfortable with all the things you need to relax and enjoy the views. We took several day trips to Breckinridge, Vail and BV. The general store in Alma is a must. Loved coming back to this log cabin home to sit on the porch, grill and enjoy the sunsets. We brought our dogs and they enjoyed the fresh outdoors! Please support Mr Burro for breakfast and lunch in FairPlay and head into town for unique shopping experiences. Sleeping under the cozy covers and waking up to the crisp morning air in the mountains make this beautiful home the perfect escape. Thank you for a memorable stay!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY - WE WILL BOOK AGAIN!!
My husband and I spent our 15th wedding anniversary at the cabin. Our goal was to go somewhere remote and do nothing but relax and enjoy a view. This cabin provided exactly what we were looking for. We really liked the fact that we were very close to Breckenridge yet not in the "busyness" of Breckenrigde. Enjoyed the hummingbirds! We had to make our own recipe batch to fill the feeders because there were so many of them! We will be back! ...and thank you for the bag of ice and extra ice trays, Tami...that was thoughtful!!!
Response from VrboOwner on 23 Mar 2020
Again, Happy 15th Anniversary!! We're so glad that you enjoyed your anniversary at our cabin and look forward to having you again. No problem on the ice trays, I was happy to accommodate your needs and nothing is better than fresh ice tea on the deck while you watch the sunset!! Hope to see you both for your 16th if not sooner. :-)

Pictures dont give home justice, it is actually nicer in person. Has enough room for family and activities. It is well supplied, and kitchen was well stocked and clean. I would say the only complaint is the location and altitude. Location for us did not work, it is about 45 minutes to Breckenridge with the snow and traffic. The altitude also became a problem for my husband, he ended up in Urgent Care with Pulmonary Edema. So if you are one of those lucky individuals that can’t with the altitude this is definitely not for you. Which is a shame because house is beautiful especially in the winter!
This cabin was everything it was described to be! The check-in process was super easy and access was a breeze. Each step was communicated to us on-time and accurately. The property is beautiful! We had more than enough room for our family of six (2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 kids under 10) to spread out and be super comfortable. We skied in Breckenridge and the drive in was gorgeous. It only took us about 20 minutes to drive each morning. It snowed almost every day, but the roads are maintained very well, so we didn't have any issues. The is a nice grocery store about 3 miles south in Fairplay, which is also a neat place to explore! Not being in the hustle and bustle area of downtown Breckenridge is what made our stay so nice! 10/10 would stay here again!
