The cottage was perfect for a girls’ weekend getaway. The kitchen was a great size and was stocked with most of the items we needed. I would recommend bringing your own dishcloths and tea towels, as those were not provided. The lake view was absolutely beautiful and very relaxing, and having a private beach was a wonderful bonus. Beach shoes are definitely recommended because there are quite a few stones when entering the lake. The main floor bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. The primary bedroom and ensuite, however, could have used a more thorough cleaning, as there was dirt on the floor and dust on some of the furniture. The downstairs bedrooms were okay overall, although the bunk bed area was disappointing as it appeared to be a former walk-in closet with a mattress placed on the floor. We also really appreciated having cable TV available so we could enjoy our favourite shows and watch the Stanley Cup playoffs together. There were a few things that took away from the overall experience. Upon arrival, there was a dirty plate and two dirty cups left in the kitchen sink. The guest notice posted on the fridge was very worn and taped together, which did not give the best first impression. We were also disappointed that there was no Guest Welcome Binder highlighting local attractions, restaurants, and things to do in the area, as those personal touches can really enhance a stay.Overall, we had a fun girls’ weekend and enjoyed the beautiful setting, but a few updates
