Historic Tyler House in Salado
The Tyler House, built in 1857, is located on Main Street across from the Anderson House. When built, it was used as a boarding house. It is in the Greek Revival style in its overall form and facade. Judge Orville T. Tyler, his wife Caroline, three sons, and two daughters moved to this house in 1864 so their children could attend Salado College. This was their homestead for 20 years.
