Relax with the whole family at this peaceful custom home surrounded by pristine landscaping, with a wrap around deck, propane fire pit and BBQ. Comfortably furnished and quiet, this rental provides all the essentials for your home away from home. Whether you`re in town to explore the Redwood State and National Parks, experience one of our local festivals, a professional in town for work, or a proud parent visiting a Cal Poly Humboldt student, you`ll love the convenience of this home.
Situated in a quiet and extremely desirable neighborhood in Arcata, Upscale Exclusive has so much to offer guests! This modern and comfortable home in the redwoods, with space for up to six guests, features gorgeous grounds, a beautiful, furnished deck with ample seating and a gas grill, and plenty of privacy. Inside, this rental boasts an inviting living room, family room, ample space for dining, a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a genuine feel of comfort throughout.

Enjoy a short walk to the university or a tranquil stroll on the redwood trail right off the back yard; then return to your peaceful and quiet retreat. The distant chime of the university’s clock tower bells can be heard on clear days, adding a charming collegiate touch to your stay if you are visiting your student. Wrap up the evening lounging on the back deck.
Downtown Arcata, and the Plaza. You`ll find all of the conveniences close by including restaurants, shops, massage therapists, cafes, bookstores, and much, much more.
Looking to explore the north coast? Take a scenic drive to nearby beaches, hiking trails, parks, and wildlife viewings, where adventure awaits. With endless natural beauty and local attractions just minutes away, this is the perfect base for your Humboldt experience!
For outdoor adventure, this home is only 25 miles south of Redwood National Park, 50 miles north of Humboldt Redwoods State Park.
There is parking available for three cars. Sorry, no RV`s, boats or trailers.
No outside visitors. No events or gatherings are allowed.
Transient Occupancy Tax is included in the rate. This is paid to the City of Arcata.
Guests have access to the home and garage. The yard is decorative and embellished. You may walk on the lawn and admire the landscaping. Please do not pick flowers or disrupt the ground. There are paths off the rear that lead to a public path through the Arcata Community Forest. The deck is perfect for lounging and relaxation with a view of nature, or for a BBQ with the family.
Guests will receive Welcome information prior to their arrival. If the home is available prior to check-in time, we will reach out to inform you of its availability.
We tend to go with the flow of the guest. We are available in person if needed, or we will keep our distance.
We both live nearby, so do not hesitate to call and we will be available.

Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. Please review the following house rules carefully to ensure a comfortable stay for you and future guests.
1. Registered Guests Only
-Only guests included in the reservation are permitted on the property.
-No unapproved visitors or overnight guests without prior written approval.
2. No Parties or Events
-Parties, events, or large gatherings are strictly prohibited.
-Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM in accordance with local ordinances.
3. Respect the Home & Neighborhood
-Please treat the home, furnishings, and grounds with care and respect.
-This is a peaceful residential neighborhood — we ask that you be mindful of neighbors at all times.
4. No Smoking
-Smoking of any kind (including vaping and cannabis) is not permitted inside the home or within 30 feet of doors and windows.
-Evidence of smoking will result in additional cleaning fees.
5. Pets
-No Pets are allowed on the property.
-Unauthorized pets will result in immediate eviction without refund.
6. Cleanliness & Care
-Please remove shoes indoors if possible to help protect floors.
-Do not rearrange furniture.
-Report any damage or maintenance concerns promptly so we can address them.
-Home should be free of odor which may impact the following guest stay (this may include but is not limited to seafood, perfume, smoking, etc.)
7. Kitchen Use
-Please clean up after cooking and wash dishes or load and start the dishwasher before checkout.
-Do not dispose of grease, coffee grounds, or food scraps down the sink.
8. Bathroom
-Only flush toilet paper. Flushable wipes will back up our septic systems.
-Do not dispose of grease, coffee grounds, or food scraps down the sink or drains.
9. Trash & Recycling
-Please use designated trash and recycling bins.
-If staying for an extended period, follow posted instructions for disposal.
-Properly secure trash to prevent odors. We are in critter country.
10. Safety
-Do not tamper with smoke detectors or safety devices.
-Lock all doors and windows when leaving the property.
-Use outdoor spaces responsibly and supervise children at all times.
11. Check-Out Expectations
-Check-out time is 10:00AM
-Starting towels is appreciated but not necessary.
-Do not strip beds. We have a process and do not want sheets to touch floors.
-Dispose of trash properly.
-Ensure the home is locked upon departure.
-Turn off heat and lights.
