The farmhouse is clean, comfortable, has modern updates to a rustic house. The owner/host was very pleasant and unobtrusive. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful old farm house that has been very tastefully remodeled to keep its original charm. Host had house stocked with all the essentials incase you would have forgotten something. He knew we would be checking in late so offered to have the couch pulled out and made into a bed for our children so it was when we arrived. Supper friendly, couldn't have ask for a better host. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
I can truly give the highest recommendation to "The Rekindled Farmhouse"! When I opened the door I was greeted by not just a place to say but a home in every sense of the word. The owner met me in the parking lot to greet me, and this morning as I left came out to say goodbye. What a great place. I know that when returning to this area I will be there time and time again.
Parking is easy, keypad makes checkin simple. Very clean, a bit funky layout but it is in an old house so that’s expected. No dishwasher, but double sink and plenty of hot water. Well supplied with “oops I forgot” items. Hosts are very pleasant. Their antiques & reclaimed wood business across the lot from the apartment is really cool, adds to the atmosphere and well worth exploring.
The highlight for us was the warm and friendly kitchen /dining area with a porch entry complete with rocking chairs. The porch is directly across from a reclaimed wood craftsman. Which was one of our reasons for staying here sadly it was closed during our stay. However, it was a great stay as there were really nice views from the window of the mountain, and even a little creek across the street. And much to our delight a working railroad But it only ran once. This place has it all to slow down, enjoy remember days when life was simpler. And then take a leisurely walk through the village and back. Yes, I would stay here again and again. Many thanks to Nicole for the
