TLDR: place is cool, host isn’t great. I’m sure he’s a good person, just the operations weren’t ideal. PROS: Location is pretty good. Not very secluded, you’re in a cabin park, but you’re super close to everything in pigeon forge. The property is cool. It feels like newer construction. The ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom sounded like it was going to fall on us but the place was pretty cool overall.CONS: Communication! The host gives you their cell to contact but insists on opening a “request” through some portal they use. But, if you’re on your phone, you can’t really use the portal effectively. It wants you to create an account but before you can, it just puts you into your reservation, bypassing the account setup. So that was frustrating, and there seemed to be no way to get a request straight to the guy so that wasn’t great. All of the responses over text seemed like canned responses from an AI bot. Also beware, you have to pay additional fees in that portal outside of VRBO. Something about accidental damage coverage.I don’t think I’d stay here again, I’d want something managed by an actual person that I can talk to.
