The property was great for 2 or 4 guest and was almost fully equipped, except that the washer and dryer are in a locked closet. The property was within a half hours drive from Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and easy to navigate to by day. At night, it's pitch black and the steep wnding mountain roads make it very difficult to get to, even if you only drive at 15 mph for the last half if the drive.

The driveway is very steep with no flat surface to park on. It was challenging for my husband and me as we are elderly. I knew, when booking, that there were lots of steps to climb but was not aware that the driveway was that steep. Also the cabin was full of dead ladybugs. I contacted the owner and he said they had sprayed for them. I can appreciate that but it seems that housekeeping would’ve come back to clean them up. The fireplace had old ashes in it that were thick. My husband cleaned them out before he started a fire for us and he also cleaned our ashes out before we left. When I contacted the owner about the old ashes, he said the fireplace only gets cleaned quarterly, Every place we have stayed previously required the renter to clean the fireplace if it was used. The cabin was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The charcoal grill is a park model but we didn’t use it because the rack wasn’t adjustable.
