Great Get-a-way/sleeps 4

This cottage is located on the North side of Big Barbee Lake on a quiet EMS lane. Enjoy the quiet mornings sitting on the deck or perhaps walk out on the 90 foot pier to enjoy the sunrise. The pier is easy access to the water And for some sunbathing.
The beach is located about 300 feet from the cottage. This is not lake front and is a shared beach. No need to pack the sand toys we have many!

This charming cottage is perfect for two but can sleep four. The kitchen is fully equipped. Check the list of amenities. All you need is beach towels and food. This is a one bedroom with a full size bed. Additional sleeping is found on the queen size sofa in the living room. Cable TV in living room and bedroom along with internet. Everything you will need is here. All the amenities you will need. Bedding and all linens are provided.

Everything you need for outdoor fun. Gas grill and lawn chairs, and picnic table also. Just bring you bug spray and beach towels.

After a busy day on the water, just relax by a campfire (wood provided) and enjoy the stars.

Perfect Stay

This was such a perfect place to stay! Kathy was a great host and kept communication with us the whole time. It’s only a short walk to the pier and a small beach, The house also has all the amenities you need and then some! I am recommending to all my family that comes and stays on the Barbee Chain O Lakes.

Barbee booms!

A most excellent week at Big Barbee the week of July 4th Independence Day celebration. Loved everything about it. Location, lake activities, cottage. Just beautiful! Kathy was by far the best hostess I’ve had for short term rental!

We enjoyed our quick stay in Indiana. The cottage was extremely clean. We enjoyed being able to walk right down to the lake and I could not even believe it but Kathy took us out on her boat! I was so grateful - my 10 year old said that was the best part :)

Cottage at Lake Barbee

The cottage needs updating & a through cleaning. Bed was lumpy,pullout couch pad was dirty,shower mat dirty & old. Location was ok.No firewood available for the outdoor fire pit.

I wish I could have been there to show you around. The firewood was on the other side of the yellow shed. If you had an issue with anything you had numbers to call and you also had called me as you checked out and never said a word. By the way it is a new bed spring of 2022. I will continue to update my cottage just like the new heat and air that went in the week before you checked in. I will definitely discard a bath mat and or stained bed pad. I would hope in the future you would consider talking to the owner and give them a chance to fix things to your liking or comfort. Thank you for your input.

Great stay at Kathy's place!

Our very first time using VRBO and Kathy helped make it a terrific first impression. Not only was her communication leading up to our stay excellent (very quick responses to questions and answered our questions completely), she was even there to meet us, gave us a quick tour and made us feel very welcome to enjoy our stay. Cottage was very well appointed, had everything we needed (I'd say even more than advertised) and the patio was excellent for enjoying early morning coffee watching the sun rise. Perfect little cottage for a small family like ours, our 17-year-old son said the pullout bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you'd need for meals. Great location for a quiet weekend enjoying walks or time on one of the lakes. We highly recommend!

Property was nice and quiet, had all of the amenities we needed and we were upgraded upon arrival! Was nice having a pier to use and if you have small children the little sandy beach was nice. There was close by dining at the Barbee hotel and a little convenience store at end of lane.

I grew up on the Barbee Lakes. As a child visiting my Grandparents at the lake all summer. Raking leaves in the fall, ice skating in the winter, and painting cottages in the spring. Summers are awesome! My Grandparents rented 20 cottages out in the summer and it was awesome for all of us kids. We met so many people and had fun with all the children that came to vacation! I have been blessed with getting some of the cottages back into the family and hope I can make your vacation as wonderful as it was when I was growing up. My Grandparents were great teachers!
