About this property

Ski House with Lake Living - Little Chief's Retreat

Our warm & spacious SKI and LAKE house has 5 bedrooms & 3 full baths and is only 3.5 miles from the base of Okemo Ski Resort. It's 2.5 miles from the base of Jackson Gore. Killington Ski Resort is about a 20 - 25 minutes away. Our house is 100 yards from Lake Rescue where you can kayak and enjoy the shared swimming area. Also for golf lovers, Fox Run Golf Course is 2.2 miles down the road which turns into a Nordic Center in the winter.

The main level has an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings and a wood burning fireplace. Wood is provided and stored in the shed. The kitchen is fully equipped and is open to a large dining area. The main level also has a bedroom with a queen size bed as well as a full bath. There is a stackable washer & dryer too. The deck lines the entire back of the house and is surrounded by beautiful trees. The front porch has rocking chairs to enjoy the evening sunset. Enjoy the fire pit on the side yard which seats 10 people.

On the 2nd floor there are 2 bedrooms, a king size bed in one room, and a queen size bed with a single trundle (2 twin beds) in the other bedroom. There is a full bathroom and a large loft sitting area.

The lower level has a large recreation/family room with a kitchenette. There are 2 bedrooms and a full bath as well. One bedroom has a full size bed & twin; and the other has a queen size bed. There is access to the patio from this level.

There are multiple Smart TV's throughout the home, as well as Comcast Xfinity cable service. There is high-speed internet.

The house comfortably sleeps 12.

The lake is 100 yards from the house and has a beautiful dock & picnic areas. You can swim, kayak, fish, water ski, cross country ski or skate on the lake. The house does not have a lake view but has lake rights with a shared dock.

We came as a group of 12 and there were adequate space for us. The space was clean and please try of firewood for the fireplace. It is a short walk to the lake where it freezes over in the Winter. The air circulation in the kitchen was good so cooking was not a problem. There is a fire pit outside and a space with rocking chairs outside which is nice even in the winter cold. Maria is a very responsive host and all communication with her were clear. It is also very close (4 min drive) to the Jackson Gore base camp at Okemo.The only thing to add is that there is an owners portion of the property that is attached to the structure so hence this is not a whole property rental (it was never mention as so).

NH Vacation

We had 18 people when you included the children. We loved the lake access and using the canoes and kayaks. The house comfortably fit all of us without feeling crowded. It was a quiet neighborhood. We cooked s'mores and dinner over the open fire. It was a great stay!

Perfect Family Getaway (AGAIN!)

This property is conveniently located just a short drive away from Okemo mountain and Ludlow center. This is our second time staying at this property this year and we would absolutely look to stay again next year. Wonderful home for families with teens who like to have their own space. The decor makes this spacious home very warm and cozy.
