About this property
Peaceful Cottage - Relax, Kayak, Swim
Relax at this peaceful cottage on Miles Pond in rural northeastern Vermont. The cottage is a few steps from the waterfront, and you can put a canoe or kayak in the water, swim or fish directly in front. You are welcome to use the two kayaks that we leave out. Loons nest on the small island near the waterfront. They are a common sight and relaxing while listening to their call and the sound of the water are pleasures of visiting the cottage.
St. Johnsbury, Vermont and Littleton, New Hampshire are within a 30-minute drive from this rental. These towns have restaurants, shops, and supermarkets.
The kitchen is set up for cooking including a variety of pots, pans, utensils and dishes. We provide supplies for making coffee including K-cups and Vermont Coffee Company coffee beans. We provide towels for the bath and kitchen, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, paper towels and cleaning supplies. The beds are made up for your stay. Heat is provided by a hot air wall unit. Cooling is provided by air conditioners in the two bedrooms. The internet is provided by high-speed fiber, and the WiFi extends to all the rooms in the cottage and outside.
The cottage is located 100 yards from the parking spot down a path that is lit by solar lights. The path crosses railroad tracks that are no longer active. The buildings visible from the parking lot are owned by the host’s family.
There are two security cameras on trees facing each other that look at the parking lot above this cottage.
Guests check in and make themselves comfortable on their own. We are available through text, email or phone to answer questions.
