Lakeside Basecamp for Adventure! Comfy home with huge deck and great lake views!

Your Lakeside Montana basecamp is set up and ready for you and your fellow adventurers, so get ready to launch!

Large southern-exposure windows to let in light, hardwood floors, a super-comfy King bed in the main bedroom and a Queen bed in the 2nd bedroom, laundry room and woodstove come included in this 2-level, 1500 Sq.ft home. Outside, 2 large decks to relax on, barbeque & enjoy our beautiful Montana summers. Lots of board games & books, as well as 2 kayaks for lake fun! The property features a huge deck on which to kick back and enjoy bbqing and views of the lake, situated on over an acre of ground including some woods. Inside, guests will enjoy a bright living room and dining area with large windows to bring the outside in. Because we are located fairly close to the road, there may be road noise present outside, but you should not hear it inside. Star link WiFi, washer & dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen are included for your extended stays. The 2 fully equipped bathrooms are complete with towels and other essentials. There is a set of stairs from the driveway level to the entry door level and another set of stairs leading from entry door level to the deck. Also, inside there are stairs between the two levels. Enjoy all that Lakeside has to offer when you stay at our place!

Enjoyed a solid stay at Steve’s Lakeside house, great location with much to do! We’re the outdoorsy types so took advantage of the house kayaks (a quick truck ride down to Volunteer Park for easy launch, rent your life jacket across the street at Sea Me Paddle), amazing deck views/grill, topped off with s’mores in the campfire pit. Glacier National Park is an easy day trip. Harbor Grill in Lakeside was delish. The house is somewhat nestled into the forest offering up ambiance as well as privacy (but not so much one worries what might be lurking around the tree corner, lol). The road is busy out front but mostly during daylight hours and it’s far off enough to not cause safety concern for kiddos n dogs. The owner is friendly and quick to respond. Be sure to pack your beach towel:)

Our family had a great stay over the Christmas week. The house was clean, in a great location near Lakeside, and was well-stocked. It was also set up well for our Golden Retriever that was with us.Steve was a perfect host, providing frequent communication ahead of our stay, real-time responses during our stay, and flexibility on check-in/check-out. Even put up Christmas lights ahead of our stay! Would highly recommend!

This property is absolutely perfect! The view is incredible, it is very close to town, and the rooms are confortable. It was clean and very well stocked. Steve was very responsive and communicative as well. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Steve’s base camp. Great location just south of Kalispell in the area of Lakeside. Close to town but not too close. Close to the best marina, local restaurants and grocery so you never had to go back to Kalispell if you wanted to keep the small town feel. Clean and very well stocked. Steve gave the best recommendations, was easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again.

Kitchen and living room area were clean and bright. Bathrooms were clean. The commute to Lakeside was very short. The house number is not visible from the road so we were not sure we had the right house until we approached a rear door. No information was left about how to contact anyone in case there was a problem at the house. No instructions about how to operate the TV system. We were not sure about how to leave the house in regard to trash, sheets and towels. The bedroom windows had issues such as missing screens, cranks and were moldy. There needs to be a railing on the outside steps for older people such as ourselves. The vines growing on the deck railing had insects flying around so we did not feel comfortable sitting there. The traffic noise was an issue in the early morning.

Good morning Sharon - I am saddened to hear that your stay was just OK, as I strive to and try very hard to make each guest's stay a great experience. I reached out to you several times during your stay, once the morning after your arrival and then just before your departure, by messaging you on the app which is what VRBO encourages. I was inquiring to make sure that everything was OK and just checking in, but you evidently did not see those messages. Also, all of the instructions regarding how to find the home, how to contact me including my phone number, how to operate the TV (press "on" on the remote), where to put the trash, instructions regarding linens and laundry and other check out instructions that were not followed and a clear message that road noise may be present at times are all contained on the app. I am sorry that you did not use the app during your stay and wish you safe travels back home.

We moved to Lakeside 30 years ago after wanting to leave Bozeman and live by a lake. We have never looked back! Lakeside has everything including some really great restaurants and the Marina!
