Originally developed in the 1870s by the McKnight brothers, the area features distinctive architecture, tree-lined streets, and green spaces like McKnight Glen. It's a culturally rich, majority Black and Hispanic neighborhood with an active community council and local events. McKnight is affordable, centrally located near downtown, and offers easy access to major roads and landmarks like the Springfield Armory.
