The home is large, well appointed, and clean. Be aware that there are 37 steps. There were three issues of concern:The description of amenities twice says washer and dryer are included, but when we asked, we were told that we could only access the washer and dryer if we rented for two weeks. The description of amenities describes the kitchen as "fully appointed", but the dishwasher had a sign "DO NOT USE", with the waste basket in front of it, blocking the usage and/or the ability to open the dishwasher. There is a sign where you pull up to the parking space which has a picture of a revolver, and reads:"THIS HOME IS PROTECTED BY THE GOOD LORD AND A GUNIF YOU COME HERE TO STEAL OR DO HARM YOU MIGHT MEET BOTH OF THEM"Marc McSweeney

Thank you so much for the honest feedback! We love knowing that you found the home large and clean. To clear up a few things for future guests, our washer and dryer are reserved for longer stays of two weeks or more.
Regarding the dishwasher, we actually only use it as a handy rack for hand-drying dishes rather than a running appliance, which is why the "Do Not Use" sign and wastebasket are there—though the basket is easily nudged aside if you need to pop a few clean plates in to dry! Lastly, that parking sign was left behind by the previous owners as a bit of quirky country humor, and we certainly didn't mean to make anyone feel uncomfortable. We truly appreciate you staying with us and hope to welcome you back!
The perfect place to get away from it all! Quiet, relaxing and the bed was super comfortable. Only flaw (and this isn’t the owners fault but the remote area) the internet went down around 7:30 both nights and didn’t come back on till about 8:00 the next morning. Our cell phone provider (T-Mobile) has no service in that area so we were completely without outside communication. We entertained ourselves with the wide variety of board games, and actually talking, so all good and it was nice to disconnect from the world for a bit. Our host was very easy to talk to and the place was easy to access and had everything we needed.
