Why they chose this property
We spent a lot of time driving around St. Simons—through East Beach, near the pier, and exploring different neighborhoods—before we found Tides Cottage in Ocean Breezes. The name comes from the steady, refreshing breezes that flow through this area, giving it a relaxed, coastal feel.
What really drew us in were the classic cottages—simple, charming homes that feel genuine, not like typical vacation rentals. The neighborhood is peaceful and feels like a real community.
Plus, it’s just a short walk to the beach and some great local restaurants. That combination of charm, comfort, and convenience is what made us fall in love with Tides Cottage —and what we think makes it special for guests too.
