It is in a beautiful location and pet friendly. We saw a deer from the house. The only problem is that wifi is not working properly and there are not enough towels.
Really cool cabin with unique styling. Loved the welcome snacks! Cocoa and s’mores was the icing on the cake to give the place a homey vibe. And it’s great to feel so remote but have only a 10 min drive to the quaint downtown area.

The place was really cute! I loved the aesthetic and the loft bedroom was fun. The record player was always playing, our senior dog loves the deck, and I appreciated that there were heaters because it was a chilly night!! Check in and check out was super easy.
Very nice place to stay while in Idyllwild or vicinity. Close to the town, Nature Center, etc. We stayed for a short weekend trip and accommodation had everything we needed. Thank you Rose!

Overall a cute location and the owner was great at responding to our messages but the cabin was pretty dirty. The floors were dirty and there was dog hair EVERYWHERE. My partner’s allergies started kicking in from it which was a bit of a damper on our trip. Also, a lot of the outdoor lighting didn’t work, which was a bit of a bummer.

This is an unfortunate review as we had had a rapport going and I offered you $75 dollars in reimbursement because you found dog hair... This cabin is a pet friendly cabin. Our cleaning ladies are usually very thorough and I have never had an issue before… It’s pretty harmful when a guest writes a negative review even after compensation to please them. This cabin is my bread and butter and very dear to my livelihood. Peace.
I do not recommend this accommodation. There is a health and safety concern due to a rodent infestation. We were extremely disappointed with our reservation through VRBO for the cabin in Idylwild. The reservation was made for my daughter and her new husband for their honeymoon. In addition to the lack of adequate heating, insufficient water pressure, making it impossible to take a shower, there was significant rodent activity. Enough that it kept them awake at night. There were significant droppings inside the cabin. They ended up leaving two days early because they couldn’t stand it any longer. My daughter reached out to the owner and she said that she would be back in touch with them about a refund. No response was received. I also messaged the owner about the unacceptable circumstances. I never received a response. I ended up contacting VRBO and they informed me that the owner was not answering their calls and being uncooperative. I do not recommend this rental unit. Even though it is cute, the rodent infestation along with other concerns, make it unacceptable. The owner refusing to respond, only added insult to injury.

We arrived and left in a few minutes The property is listed as two bedrooms There is one bed in the living area and a second small bed in a loft with a metal ladder that is very very vertical and difficult to climb. No actual bedrooms
Right from the beginning, I was charmed. It has eclectic taste with multiple wheel houses. I was just in love with that if you are comfortable and calm with your thoughts, come stay here alone and if you are and don’t like to stay alone, bring someone it is wonderful the upstairs Cozy nook to the lights. I adore this place and I will be back not to mention the host was just a doll in every sense of the … she was generally excited for me to be there and I had a great time and I went out to a little dinner at a little restaurant and my stay was wonderful, but too short I will be back very very very soon. I almost don’t wanna leave a review because I want this place all to myself, but I’m not selfish this place deserves love and company.
Humming and crackling with arcane energy, we enjoyed the charming cabin and grounds and-had a great stay. Host struck the perfect balance of being helpful and responsive without being intrusive. Great experience, highly recommend and would stay again. Particularly enjoyed the interesting architecture, decor, and the local vinyl record is a must play (you'll know it when you see it). Apart from needing to make sure you don't accidentally accept food from or reveal your true name to the local fae the place is a 10/10
We had such a wonderful mid-week stay. We brought our dog, who absolutely loved running around. We used it as writing retreat and cooked a lot of the meals in the kitchen. The vibe is very eclectic and creative. Perfect energy recharge in nature. At night, the outside lights make it a little spooky, in the best possible way that makes you feel like you're not in the city anymore. Space is open layout - which works great for a couple. Wifi is good. Rose was very responsive, and nice. A few mile drive from Idyllwild, but it's very quick drive (maybe 5 minutes?). Found a nice hike within walking distance, too, where we brought our dog - Cell Tower Lookout. We loved it and would definitely come back!

My family was so unsatisfied with this accommodation that we chose to not even spend time in the cabin after the first few hours. The accommodation had cobwebs in high spots, human and animal hair and stains on the bed sheets and on the pillows and the bathroom smelled of mildew. Also, the feeling of unbelievable discomfort after reading the guest log and accounts from other guests boasting about having intimate interactions made the questionable stains on the bed sheets that much worse. I reached out to the host who said that she would refund our stay given we didn’t use the accommodation and agreed that the cabin was in a filthy state but over two weeks after our stay and after reaching out regarding it, we have yet to settle any sort of refund. This host is actually now saying that it “wouldn’t be fair” for her to refund anything because, though she pays for a cleaning and charges guests extra for it, her cleaner didn’t do their job. The host asked that I not leave a review if I didn’t stay but I figured it’s the least I can do if she’s going to take my money for a subpar experience then make inane excuses to not follow through on her word. Do not book or stay at this cabin. Beware.

This guest was incredulously rude and left a huge mess and didn’t want to pay after they stayed, my cameras showed he had brought six guests and neighbors complained about the noise, he was extremely unpleasant and demanded a refund after he brought more quests than was acceptable. It’s so difficult when guests make huge messes after they stay and attempt to pick apart my cabin for a refund. I have pictures of how he left the kitchen and bathroom and submitted them to Vrbo. I don’t know why his immense animosity is directed at me as others have truly loved my cabin. These types of reviews can destroy my livelihood. I had to pay my maid for 3 hours extra after they left the next morning which I have on my camera. Guests like these are rare but very threatening. It’s unfortunate, I hope no one gets these guests in their home. I reported them as I didn’t feel safe they were there. There was also a treasured red glass taken and all the drawers with bedding was opened and thrown about the floor. Truly heartbreaking and terrible guests.
This cabin was adorable. We loved the aesthetic so much - witchy, mystical, and private. So much character and charm in all the small details. We especially loved our evenings on the deck under the stars. The lighting at night is everything. As others have mentioned, the kitchen isn't fully stocked, so if you're planning to cook or bake, make sure to bring your essentials. We opted to dine in town most of the time, which is charming in its own right. So much to see and do in the town center. We didn't have enough time to visit all the shops. We loved the record player and the collection of books - it was nice not to have a TV! The fireplace kept us cozy at night, and we appreciated having wood ready for us. There's also a wonderful variety of birds out there. Wish we had brought our binoculars! The beds were really comfy although the climb to the loft was a bit challenging for this mature lady. :) And don't mind the noises from the roof. There are some birds nesting nearby. But I would bring some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Check in and out was easy as well. We loved the cabin and would absulutely stay again. The owner put alot of love into all the details. It was exactly what we were looking for!
