About the host
Hosted by Alice M McDonald

I was born and raised in New Hampshire. After graduation from Merrimack High School, I attended Concord Hospital School of Nursing. As an RN, I have held various nursing positions in the specialty areas of Orthopedics, Cardiopulmonary, Obstetrics/Gynecology, school nursing, and geriatrics. My most favorite and rewarding position in my nursing career was as instructor in Health Occupations at Berks Career and Technical School in Pennsylvania.
I attended the New Hampshire Institute of Arts obtaining my Certificate in Photography in 2002.
I am passionate about hiking, biking, kayaking , swimming, boating, nature, photography, writing, music, history, gardening, birding, and creating with food.
My most meaningful experiences come with time spent with my children and grandkids, my niece, family, and friends.

What makes this property unique
Oceanville Oasis was designed by your host. I also assisted in a great deal of the house build. It is a very personal space influenced by houses that I have visited, rented, or owned.
My kitchen was designed for my business, Fox Den Delicacies, LLC. It is licensed by the state of Maine for food preparation of sugar and bakers’ confections distributed via mobile vending. Driftwood, seaglass and rock creations were all created with local finds. They are displayed for your visual enjoyment. The photography on the walls is mine, created in color and black and white darkrooms.
The placement of the driveway in the curve of the road and the juxtaposition of the house at the top of the granite slope affords almost 360 degrees of privacy. Only undeveloped forest surrounds the house on the north, east and west sides.
My wish is that you find my home aesthetically pleasing to the eye with its lines, textures, colors and lighting. I have put a great deal of thought and preparation into making it comfortable and welcoming as well as functional for your stay.
Please treat it with the same respect that you would give your own home and take care to leave it in the same manner as when you arrived.
*Most of the scenics that are in the additional AirBNB photos were captured within walking distance or just minutes drive from my house! You can walk down to the Oceanville Bridge for a swim or I can show you a short hike to a delightfully private beach at the end of a woods trail.
