This was a 5* family! Great communication, quiet, and Immaculate. I loved how they apprec iated and used my kitchen. Having never been to Maine, they Welcomed my suggestions with enthusiasm. They definitely packed in a lot of activities and a short amount of time. They will be welcome back anytime they want to return.
Alice is a gracious host who welcomes you upon arrival. She gave us the low down on the house and then left us be. The house has everything you need for your stay. The house is spotless and comfortable. We hiked the Settlement Quarry, Crocket Cove Woods and the Barred Island Trails while there. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a place in the Stonington area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is gorgeous and well appointed. We only stayed two nights and weren't interested in cooking for ourselves, but had we wanted to, the kitchen would have been perfect for it. Highly recommend for a quiet place to stay that's a quick drive to town.
This place was beautiful, spacious, very clean, and had everything you might need- even beach towels! It's quiet and in a stunning part of the island of Deer Isle. A quick drive to downtown and other parts of the island. We really enjoyed staying here and recommend it to anyone who might be looking for a great place to stay.

Exceptional host with great communication. A real find if you are traveling to Deer Isle. We will be going back!
We had a wonderful stay in this very clean and conveniently located property. Alice was very accommodating as we were late with our check-in. she provided a lobster pot and a way to boil lobsters outside.

Rick, Nikki, Tim and Janet were ultimately 5 STAR guests-warm, friendly and fun!
Great with communication, quiet, and left the house in immaculate condition! They treated me to a lobster dinner on their last night here. Oddly but in a good way, I felt like a pampered guest in my own home! Thanks to all 4 of you! I am looking forward to future visits!
First and foremost, Alice, our host, was exceptional! She deeply cares for Maine, Stonington and her home. Her attention to detail is exceptional. She put her heart and soul into the construction of her home, and it shows. The accommodations were top notch. She provides detailed instructions and labels, helping to operate appliances, lights, fans, etc. She truly shared her home, even to the extent of reserving half of the garage for guests. She even had beach towels and chairs available, which we were grateful to utilize when we spent parts of two days at Sand Beach. The kitchen is a gourmet's dream. She even has the tools necessary for a Maine clambake/lobster boil, should you wish to partake. She also has great advice of areas to see and hikes to take through the spectacular coastal and forested surroundings. We can not say enough about Alice and her home, and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area!Thank you, Alice, for making our stay special!
Everything was seamless about checking-in and out. Everything you could possibly think of is available for your use. You literally just need food and clothing. I wish there was AC, but my partner liked it warm. It did cool down late at night and there was a window fan to help. The owner put in a lot of thought in creating a peaceful stay. It was close enough to town to the local restaurants and activities.

It was such a pleasure meeting Sherry and Brian. I am so pleased that you chose to stay at my Oceanville Oasis. I really loved your enthusiasm for the island and its history. It was wonderful to share my basement tiny home project with you. Enjoy the rest of your summer! Looking forward to having you stay here again
Best, Alice
The entire place was immaculate. A great deal of thought was put into this rental property. The story book detailing the construction of this three story house (first floor owner occupied, second/third floor rental) was a heartwarming account of the process and a unique way to meet the owner.
Only 1 negative for me. I took the second floor bedroom. This bed needs an upgrade. It’s lower to the ground than the first floor bed and the box spring is very thin.
Despite this one negative, I would stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this property.
