Welcome to Casa Tortuga – Beachfront Casa on the Sea of Cortez. Nestled on the untouched shores of Los Frailes, Casa Tortuga offers an unforgettable escape where luxury meets nature. Named for the sea turtles that come ashore to nest and the beautiful tiled turtle that greets you at the entrance, this beachfront home is a sanctuary of serenity and style.

Enter through the front grand metal door and into a spacious open-concept living room, where a wall of sliding glass doors disappears into the walls, revealing an awe-inspiring view of the Sea of Cortez. Just beyond lies your private infinity pool, with swim-up bar, and outdoor seating area gathered around a gas fire pit—a perfect place to unwind after a day in the sun.

With four spacious ensuite bedrooms, each offering stunning views of the sea or mountains, Casa Tortuga is perfect for families or groups seeking comfort, relaxation and adventure. The house can accommodate up to 10 guests. Eight people can sleep comfortably on beds, with two additional guests using sectional couch from the living room. They can be divided and placed in the bedrooms. Casa Tortuga is an off-grid home that primarily runs on solar power and battery storage.

From the comfort of the home, guests can witness whales breaching and jumping rays, often just beyond the waves—an unforgettable sight that adds to the magic of Casa Tortuga. Stroll for miles along the pristine, powdery sand beach without encountering crowds, and explore nearby hiking trails. Be sure to explore the enchanting Arbolitos Beach for snorkeling, famous for its clear blue waters and calm conditions; approximately 2 miles. For additional snorkel & scuba adventures, head to the Cabo Pulmo National Marine Reserve, a world-renowned diving destination, 4 miles away. Surfing enthusiasts can also catch waves at the famed Nine Palms, located about 16 miles south.

All this is only 1 hour 40 minutes away from San Jose Del Cabo Airport. Recommend renting a car at Mex Rent a Car in advance. There is paved road for about one hour, 10 minutes when coming from north east of the airport. And approximately 30 minutes on dirt road. The property is well-appointed and housed 4 couples perfectly. We opted to have meals prepared at the house and were very pleased. The housekeepers on property are super friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to book this spot again!

I am hesitant to give my real feelings about this house because I don't want it to become too popular! Our week at Casa Tortuga was nothing short of incredible. House was amazing and exactly as described. Caretakers are lovely people who looked after us wonderfully. Location is spectacular and the weather and water were absolutely perfect during our stay. We all wished that we didn't have to leave.

For more than 20 years, they’ve enjoyed annual trips to Los Frailes with family and friends, creating countless memories -- playing volleyball on the beach, surfing at 9 Palms, swimming for hours and hours, and hiking to Los Frailes Peak. The girls even learned to "dolphin dive" right here at Los Frailes Beach! Sharing this special place is a pleasure, and it is hoped that guests will create many wonderful memories of their own.
