We stayed here for three nights and overall had a very nice experience. The bungalow was cozy, nicely decorated, and had a great mountain house feel. The upstairs bed was very comfortable, and the rooms were clean and inviting. Overall, the house was clean, although we did notice some hair in the shower and tub that was likely left by previous guests. A quick rinse took care of it, so it wasn’t a big issue. The hosts were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had.A couple things to note for first-time visitors to Lake Harmony. Unless you’re staying at a property with direct lake access, there aren’t many opportunities to enjoy the lake. Most beaches are private and not accessible to visitors. Split Rock Beach is open to the public, but we found the water wasn’t very clean and the area felt dated. The hosts offer gourmet coffee for an additional charge. We skipped it, but in hindsight probably should have. The house only had two regular K-Cups, with the rest being decaf. Traveling with a 4-year-old and a 4-month-old, we definitely needed the caffeine! While several restaurants are within walking distance, we wouldn’t recommend walking, especially with children. There are no sidewalks, the speed limit is 30 mph, and many cars seemed to be driving faster.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the comfortable accommodations and responsive hosts. We just wish there were more accessible options to enjoy the lake and go swimming.
