About this property

Two bedroom Two full bath Log Cabin built in 2005 with 100 x 300 property including private beach front and dock located on the west side of Seneca lake. This is a non Smoking and Pet free residence with Central Air. The basement and any outbuildings are not included in the rental and are for our private use only. Unplug sit back and relax on the deck overlooking Seneca lake or just go down the steps to the private beach and dock. The main bedroom is a loft bedroom with private full bath and king bed. Bedroom two has a queen bed and door access to the main full bathroom. There is a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests in the living room. Kitchen has silverware, dishes for 6 as well as pots and pans for cooking. Enjoy cooking outside on the Weber grill, LP gas included. This property is located just 7 miles south of Geneva NY and Hobart and William Smith College. Enjoy 7 local wineries within 5 miles of the property. We are just a half mile from Fox Run Vineyards and walking distance to Weavers-View Farm Barn Weddings. There is also an additional 3 season space fully enclosed with windows all around. Other items included are stove/oven, refrigerator,microwave. Roy's Marina has boat rentals just a short distance away, so you can enjoy fishing, skiing or tubing on the lake. Nothing can be tied to the dock due to destruction of the dock and watercraft. I have one smaller spare boat hoist that can handle up to 16 or 17 foot boat
We have outside security surveillance for the security of our property and insurance purposes. There are NO cameras inside any part of the residence. We have two cameras, one is located off the back ( driveway Side of the house) and one is located off the basement door and covers that area.

Awesome cabin

Weekend getaway Seneca lake

We had a very good day. The house was better in person than in the pictures. Extremely clean. Host was very responsive to any questions. Excellent location to Seneca wine trail and Watkins Glen State Park. Use from the porch were breathtaking. Highly recommend staying here

Nicest “shack” in the FLX

This was our third stay at the Love Shack and it couldn’t have been better! We come each fall to tour wineries and waterfalls. The Love Shack is cozy and relaxing with an amazing view of the rising sun each morning, a lovely deck, and all the amenities for a long weekend stay. The location is great for traveling around Seneca and Keuka. The winery across the street-Scout-is wonderful!

Friends get away

Clean property with a beautiful lake view. Giving 4 stars due to second bedroom in the loft is open to the living room. The second bathroom upstairs had poor water pressure. The listing stated soap was provided but that was only hand soap and dish soap. No soap for showering. With all that said, we would likely stay again.

Great Locely Holiday Home if you come from the city

We loved the lake and the bbq deck. The house was very clean and everything was there for a great Holiday. If you come from the big city everything is good. If you are used to more quiet surroundings, this might be not for you. There is a noisy road behind the house that you can hear inside as well. Also if you don't want to wake up at six, bring something to cover your eyes because the curtains are very light.

Seneca Lake Fun.

The property was very clean and exactly as described. We were close to multiple wineries and Watkins Glen State Park. We would recommend this property and will probably return next year.

Except for a few missing necessities ( like bath mats) the cabin was very nice, comfortable, and in a good location for the activities we enjoyed.

Weekend getaway

Great long weekend in wine country. The property was clean and a great location on the lake. Beautiful views and a short walk down to the lake. Close to wineries and restaurants. Our host Tim was excellent and quick to respond to questions. He thankfully replaced our coffee pot in a matter of hours. Would recommend the Love Shack and we will stay here again.

Comfort and convenience on Seneca Lake

This was our second stay at the Love Shack. We had a great experience both times: Tim was helpful, the property was immaculate, comfortable, and perfectly located. We enjoyed the pellet stove in the living room, the large deck, the quick trip down to the lake, and the beautiful sunrise through the huge windows. The home was a perfect base for us to make day trips to wineries, breweries, and waterfalls. We love the Finger Lakes--and a big part of that is finding this rental!

Our stay was excellent. The house was exceptionally clean and conveniently located right across the road from Scout Vineyards. It also contained some extra amenities like toilet paper, dish soap, and hand soap.

Amazing location in the heart of the finger lakes

My husband and I stayed here with his family and it was perfect! The home was comfortable and clean and the location was completely unbeatable. The lake is right outside your backdoor and many great wineries are in walking distance. The deck was incredible for meals and the dock was perfect for swimming and relaxing.

Perfect lake vacation

Or family really enjoyed our stay! The house's location is perfect! Right on in the water, close to Roy's marina if you are going to rent a boat (we did and it was really fun and reasonably priced), and close enough to stores if you need something. It was also not too far away from Glenn Watkins State Park which was an amazing gorge with waterfalls that you really must visit! The house was comfortably air conditioned and well stocked with dishes and such. Tim was a very good communicator and easy to work with.

Wonderful

Beautiful lake house experience. We had a very peaceful week spent at property and surrounding cities. Located close to middle of lake so travel to Watkins Glen or geneva was easy. House has 1 tv with minimal channels, but that gave our family the much needed break from devices and giving us more time spending together. 10/10 rating across the board. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Epic FLX Vacation

We had a wonderful time, beautiful house and the views of the lake from the loft were amazing. House was big enough for the 4 of us. The water skis by the driveway, 5 stars. Kids loved the space in the backyard and he fire pit for s’mores and relaxing after the day’s activities. Thank you again.

Feeling the love!

We loved our stay! The cabin was perfect, the views of the lake were perfect, the private dock was perfect. Short walk across the yard and over the tracks and you're in the lake. Great Stay!

This property is perfect for early risers who love waking up at sunrise and having a cup of coffee out on the deck, maybe even doing some yoga. It had everything we needed to make our stay perfect (though we wish it had laundry facilities, but that's a minor quibble). We did have some bad weather than knocked the power out for around 18 hours, but we made the best of it and the Owner provided us with a rechargeable flashlight in the kitchen. It didn't really slow us down. Thanks for a great stay!

This place is a great place to stay for up to four people. It worked great for us with two couples.

It worked great for us with two couples. Each had a bedroom and bathroom. In the middle of wine country and hiking and that’s what we came to do. It was very comfortable and very clean. Nice of street parking and easy to find. Nice quiet area to relax at. Perfect for what we wanted.

Anniversary Getaway

We had a wonderful time at a wonderful residence! It was our 30th Anniversary, the place was perfect, loved the view and the deck. The house was close to some great wineries, breweries, hiking trails, and good restaurants. Tim was a great host.

I grew up on Seneca lake at Long Point Cove. I still love to fish and relax on Seneca Lake. We recently purchased this home that will likely be our retirement home in the future. Until that time we will be sharing our place with others to enjoy as we do.

Why they chose this property

Beautiful location in the middle of Seneca lake Wine Country. Just 7 miles to Geneva, Hobart and William Smith College. Numerous wineries/vineyards within 5 miles such as Anthony Road, Fox Run, Prejean ,Billsboro, Red Tail Ridge and Scout is located directly across the street from us plus numerous others. Its a short distance to Penn Yan and Keuka lake, Watkins Glen and Hammondsport . Saturdays you can travel to the Windmill, so many attractions to list just a short distance from our beautiful location. Awesome fishing area for lake trout, rainbow trout, northern pike, bass and pickerel.

What makes this property unique

Unplug and relax at the lake. Its just awesome in our opinion. location is perfect to day trip anyplace in the area as we are centrally located.
