New and ultra-modern, almost 1900 square feet with 4 large bedrooms and 2 full baths, enormous living area and a full dining room. King bed! Also 2 queens, 3 twins and sleeper sofa. Super comfortable with memory foam toppers. Sleeps 10 nicely. Lightening fast internet and 3 Smart TVs with all the streaming services & 130 channels on youtubetv.

Location, location, location! Only 6 minutes from Interstate 80 for a larger group of weary travelers looking for a good nights rest. Just 3-4 minutes from major shopping centers, Adventureland & Prairie Meadows Casino. Just 9 minutes from Iowa State Fair, 13 minutes from downtown Des Moines. Home is right on the line that separates Des Moines/Altoona.

Fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need for cooking, including drip coffee maker and smoothie machine. If we don´t have it, we´ll get it! Family friendly and equipped with high chair and playpen for the little ones.

Outside deck with dining table. Gas grill available for extra fee ($20). Free washer and dryer for your convenience. Parking for three vehicles plus street parking. Peaceful neighborhood of almost brand new houses.

As you can see, this property is priced well below most others in its category.

We are clean freaks. All bathrooms and kitchen are sanitized. Air purifier for the hypoallergenic. If you find one hair or dirty spot, we want to know about it. And finally...

You will receive prompt, personal and caring attention from my wife and I. We are always looking for ways to improve and are ready to serve you!

*Just for clarification, this is NOT a shared property. There is another entirely private and separate unit with its own entrance in the back, lower level. (Not a basement, more like a du-plex) This is where my awesome property manager and his wife stay and they are ready to help you with any situation that may arise, and they are ok if you want to make some noise. But please rest assured, each unit is 100% private with its own entrance, secure locks, parking places, etc.

Accommodations were great and the location was convenient for what we had planned. Only drawback was we didn't realize people lived in the lower level. We could hear them from the master bedroom.

JoAnn, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Just for clarification, the unit below is where my property manager and wife stay and they are ready to help with any need that may arise. It is a completely separate unit with it's own entrance, locks, doors, etc. There are no shared spaces whatsoever, but as in any duplex, there are times when low sounds are perceivable through the common wall. Hope this helps and we hope you will come back and stay at our property in the future!

This was a great place to stay for a family of 6. The house was spacious and very clean. There are tenants living in the basement I think, which was a surprise. Everything turned out well, and we were grateful for a nice place to stay.

Kristi, The tenants you mentioned are my property managers and stay in a completely separate unit, it is not a basement. It has its own entrance from the back but each unit has its own locks and security. There are no shared spaces in the home. We're glad you had a nice stay and hope you will return! 🤠

Very clean and spacious. Lots of room for numerous guests. Neighborhood was safe and we felt comfortable walking around at night. Do note that there is a tenant that lives below but we never heard them or saw them. I can't remember if it stated that on the original listing but it was not a problem at all! Definitely recommend staying here!

We booked this home believing we had the entire property to ourselves. At no point in the listing did the host disclose that people live full time in the basement or that the driveway is shared. We only learned this after booking, and once we arrived it was immediately clear this was a shared living situation.Within 30 minutes of being inside the home, we could hear the people below us, especially in the ensuite bathroom. Knowing sound carries throughout the house made us uncomfortable, as we were traveling as a family and expected privacy. We never would have booked this property had this been disclosed upfront.After the host denied our cancellation request, we found the same listing on other sites with multiple reviews from other guests expressing the same concern about the lack of disclosure. The host responded defensively to those reviews, insisting it is not a shared property despite people living full time in the basement. The host did not apologize to us and instead stated that other guests have been fine with it.The home also does not appear equipped to support multiple households. After one shower, there was no hot water left for our children’s bath. Towels provided were child sized and dark colored, making cleanliness hard to assess, and there was no regular hand soap at the kitchen sink.While the main living space could accommodate our Christmas gathering, the lack of transparency made this stay stressful. Future guests deserve clear and honest information.

Thank you for expressing your concerns. The property is not shared, in that a "shared" property means that there are common spaces between two different parties, which is not the case here. The property can be thought of as a duplex, the other unit has its own private floor, own private entrance, own parking, doors, locks, etc. Nothing is shared whatsoever. The dear folks that rent the other unit full time are wonderful people, a family of three and actually help with some maintenance. To avoid confusion, I have since updated the description so there is no confusion. I apologize for any misunderstandings.
